I was reading up on cloning and im pretty sure alot of you know about the two sheep. There doing a lot of advancements in the technology and in the research with cloning. quote me if im wrong but pretty soon cloning should have a deep impact in our lifes. Unless the funding and the empire of cloning soon crashes. But imagine, having two of you's or having two of the same brothers. Scary once you think about it. Post your opinion.

its a weird topic but i support it, unless ppl start abusing it or something. It'd be cool because u can kind prevent aids/hiv and cancer and stuff. You can store a piece of u every month and then if one day you get cancer or something u can go back and clone a form of yerself but a year back, then try to prevent cancer....i guess that'd work

While you are acting like a mad scientist and cloning an army (your clones start out as fetuses -- so it takes at least 17 years to make a combat-ready army), I will be investing the same amount of money and those 17 years building better tanks and missiles and bombs and such, so when war breaks out, I will bury you.

Cloning would help for endangered animals. But why mess with endangered animals that weren't endangered by humans. Clones can also serve as great test subjects instead of hurting your "poor animals" (dam u PETA) we can test on human clones. But then again, people would be up your ass saying its morally wrong to test on human clones because they are human. _dry.gif

They ARE human. When you clone someone, it turns out just like you, only as a little baby. It's more ethical to test on animals.

No, it's not unnatural. Nature has been doing it for 4 billion years. It's called "mitosis" it is going on in your body right now.

yes, mitosis IS happening but it doesn't have some guy out back flipping the switches. So many things can go wrong with cloning...if a clone were to do something wrong it would be someone elses fault for making them. Where-in nature the human race is on top and have our own accountability for thing....I know it's very vague and broad but, you get the gest

No if the clone did something wrong, it would be HIS fault.

Clones are the same as IDENTICAL TWINS. Identical twins still have free will. When a person does something wrong, it's not has parents' or twins' fault.

Um... it CAN be cloned. Plants, animals, etc... they can all be cloned: But when you clone something, it starts out as a fetus ... so you didn't solve any problems, since thoes things reproduce fast enough as it is.

your clone is not technically you
it still is another person
it may think the same and look the same and take the same actions
but it's still different

yes, cloning for test animals would be alright in my view, because you're not taking away from the real environment, it's one you created and you can do whatever you want.

we could re-establish failing species (due to us nasty humans) and let the exotic species come back to what they once used to be

i think this would be better for zoos too, they wouldn't have to collect wild animals and take them from their natural habitat

say san diego zoo has a really good behaved tiger born in captivity that is beatiful, strong, and well-rounded perfect for zoo life. other zoos want one, they ask to clone it

..although that would take away the effect of "the best tiger in the world at san diego zoo!" because 5 other zoos have the same one

Omgosh can you imagine when they actually do start testing on humans. It would be like a doctor telling you "hello you are a clone" and starts probing you. Would you even want to live knowing that youre not the original version of you?

HEY AP XDDD!!

Yeah damn. That's pretty freaky.. I can imagine that happening in movies.. where I guy lives out his life and has memories.. then one day he finds out he's a replica of a some guy that died and the government tried covering up his death by cloning him. ph34r.gif Wait, maybe this is already a movie?

But yeah. Boo cloning. People already have twins and stuff. Cloning will never be the same as identical twins.. Ever.. ever..

What would be the point of reproducing..

How about we just stick to regular reproduction?

Also, I don't think they fully expieremented with it yet, have they figured out the side effects? or how long the clone can live? ermm.gif
