this has been bugging me for a lonnnng time. proably since about grade 5, when we all started dating and having our fun little boyfriends and girlfriends. i just never saw how it was possible that after going out with somebody for one or two weeks (or even days), you could absolutely love them.

i see this everywhere, even to this day. seriously, hardly any of the people who announce it daily on their sn's, journals etc, actually know what love is.

does this piss anyone else off. i don't believe that the majority of us could actually have the opportunity of falling in love in our teen years. i'm not saying it couldn't happen, of course it could. but not in the large percentage that everyone is claiming.

It's just extremely annoying because if this word is being used so often, what the hell will we say in the future when we actually love someone with all our heart?

k bye.

I LOVE YOU ALL :@

Good question... mad.gif

Definately gets on my nerves too. What makes me even more mad is when people say "love is overrated". The love they speak of is probably the kind of love you just mentioned. REAL love is never overrated.

Lol tongue.gif I used to be in 6th grade (going to seventh). And lol, I really just get the feeling they think they love someone, since, they probably havn't experienced love before. I mean, I used to think I luved this guy in 5th grade, but then I sorta just learned... I dunno, it's hard to explain. Well that's just what I think... probably wrong pinch.gif

Kids say they love someone, because that's all they've expierenced so far, and they think it's love. It's not totally their fault. It's trial and error, they'll figure out later on what real love is.

Well, who are we to define love? I mean.. it's an inner experience and could happen to anyone at anytime. Age should make no difference. But yeh.. there is a difference between love and lust.

I also believe there to be different levels of love. There is the way you love your family, the way you love your friends, your 'lovers', your pets, the way I love my computer...

So.. yeh. That probably didn't make sense. 7 am.. not a wink of sleep.

It bugs me a lot to... These people are usually desperate and have a need to feel accepted and cared for unconditionally, not realizing that that is a VERY precious thing that take TIME and SACRIFICE and TRUST to develop. It doesn't happen over night because if it did it wouldn't mean anything.

haha i think when little kids say i love you & stuff ... they`re sayin` it for the heck of it ! i honestly don`t think they know what it means cuz they`re so young ... but when they get older like in their teen years [cuz they`re more mature] then they can possibly understand and really mean it =]*

like i love my friends, but im not "in love" with them.

well, i know what you mean but i`m being kind of hypocritical. i told my boyfriend i loved him after 2 weeks of dating, when i really didnt, but i couldnt take it back. eventually, after 2 months i actually DID fall in love with him so i could say it with ease. he didnt say it to me until after 3 months, because he feels like you feel, like it shouldnt be tossed around.
i guess it pisses me off, too, but i do it unknowingly.

i totally agree. people don't know what love is.

In my relationship, it took me six months longer than my bf to say I love you because I wanted to be 100% truthful to him when I said it.

younger people like that are immature to really know what true love is most of the time.... and love is def not overrated.....the sad part is people make it seem that wy because they don't know how to handle it

woo hoo... It seriously pisses me off when someone says "I love so and so" when it's really a bunch of bull cuz they prob don't know what love is... Took me a few months to really love my bf [ex] and I would say close to 8 months until i was actually in love with him >.>

I don't really mind when some 7th/6th graders say I love you to their bf/gf. hey, maybe they really do like each other, who knows. but i just hate it when they say ill love you FOREVER. thats jz ... wrong kuhz you won't love em forever. pfft. but some couplez at our school don't really love each other, imo.

Yeh, that's true... I'll love you always and forever?? It may not seem like BS at the time, but most of the time, it really does end up being BS...

As for me... I actually still love my ex... not in love with him, but I still love him even after all the ish that happened..
