PS help; background color blend

i ned help in adobe photoshop 7: how do i make a background that has a blend of red and black? but its random blending, not rock hard blending in 1 place, but its totally random. just like the background of the pic in this url .... if anyone could give me any help, plz... preferably step by step because im REALLY slow at this stuff... sorry...

In filters, Render > difference clouds.. and then go to adjustments and change the color.. and then use Blur > Motion blur.. and then after that you can go to edit > rotate.. and yeah. xD I don't know, I'm thinking at the top of my head.

how come there isn't a "render" in my filter menu at all???

I'm not sure, but you can use the smudge tool to slowly smudge the bg.
