Howdy,

I'm kind of a nooB to all the xanga skins, but luckily I am somewhat familiar with Photoshop and HTML. I found this forum in my googled quest for examples and help, so all and all I'd like to thank everyone for the inspiration. Here are the three sites I designed, lemme know what yall think...

Eggotodo- This was my first attempt, a successful failure if you will. The concept was to make a breakfast themed xanga for my brother. I tried to make my own skin from scratch, but things didn't go as planned and I ended up with this. It isn't so much a skin as it is tampering with CLAF and Photoshop. On the upside I found a great profile pic for him, which still makes me laugh every time i see it.

VictorianScene - This was my first successful skin which was inspired mainly from the Just Dream Skinby tofumonzter. I used the same layout but changed the head graphic, background, and color schemes to fit the style my sister was going for. Completing this skin helped me further understand the subtle differences in programming for a non-premium xanga, and so I went on to design my own.

TheLostSonata - This was the toughest one for me to do. For my xanga (which I've been running for more than a year now), I needed a skin that not only looked good, but was practical. If you haven't noticed by now, I talk quite a bit and thus my entries are generally lengthy. Most skins that had the look I wanted had very limited room for the main blog entry. I came across Stealthllogic's Ashlee Simpson skinand found it to be perfectly sized for what I wanted. My Webpage's Vector Imageimpressed the hell out of me, so I decided to go for a vector-like style. Overall, this skin took me about four hours to do which was about the same time the previous skins took combined.

For my first few attempts and xanga skins, I am pretty happy with what I've done and now I would like for yall to rip me a new one and let me know what I can do to make things look better in the future. Thanks for letting me talk my ass off.

Enjoy. (hopefully),

The Lost Sonata

the last one is great, it looks like it took a lot of time. and its not simple, with generic coding that some people like to think of as "great". i really liek that last one.
