Modules are missing, My profile, etc. have gone missing Options

Okay yoou guys really helped me with my other problem and I'm still working on getting it perfect, but why don't i have any Modules? Why is my profile, chatterbox, subrcriptions and everthing else essential to running a working page missing? I know it gets irrataing that people have so many wuestions but i'm just so knew to all of this.
