this is an assignment that my english teacher gave me last year and i thought you guys might like to try it. it's not as easy as it sounds!
find the lyrics to your favorite song, and print them out. grab a highlighter and highlight small phrases. only 2 or 3 words per phrase will do. the number of phrases however is unlimited. once you are done that, divide your paper into rectangles/sqaures (you should have enough squares so that each phase can go onto 1 sqaure.) cut out the sqaures and write each phrase down on the pieces of paper. now try to arange the phrases into a poem. Rules: 1. you can add words. 2. you can not take words out of phrases. 3. be creative. 4. do not just rewrite the song only with the words in a different order. 5. have fun! sorry i don't have an example. :-( i lost the paper with my poem on it. if i find it, i'll remember to post it. enjoy! x0x Ariel. |

i did this, this year. hehe it was really cool i lost the paper, but i use the song-Tupac Dieing to live. I think it turned out ok as i remeber!

Sweet. I have a lot of songs to choose from. I have to start shopping for when I go to Florida though, so maybe when I come back I'll try this.

lol i tried it with a group and its hilarious!!! just use rap and its so easy
 i used eminem's soldier but i dint use the swearing
