All right, I currently have a boyfriend, but lately I've been talking to one of my guy friends and we both let it slip that we like each other (I had a crush on the other guy before me and my boyfriend started dating), and its to the point where I just want to be with the other guy and not my boyfriend, although I still have just the tinyest bit of feelings for my boyfriend... I want to break up with my boyfriend for that reason and also he is a bit of a dud bf.. like our convos are short on the phone and our AIM convos go for hours with no one saying anything... I just don't know what to do and how to break up with my boyfriend.. because I'm really scared because I've never 'dumped' anyone (I'm normally the one dumped)... I really need help...

so u made ur decision that u wanna break up, just be like... i dont think we're working out.. and if he asks why not then u tell him that the convos are short and speechless and whatever reasons u can come up with, and if he doesnt like u a lot then u should tell him the truth that u also like ur guy friend...
good luck but if u hestitate u can always think that if u dont do it sooner then u'll jus fall deeper for the other guy and fall out of it wit ur bf |

well first make sure that you're 110% sure that you don't like your bf anymore, cuz the same thing happened to me and i ended up realizing it was the worst decision i ever made, and if you're sure, then let him down slowly and make sure no one knew that you liked another guy whileyou were with your bf or else there's gonna be alotta drama that you definitely do not want. and for the dumping, tell him that you don't feel "connected" to him anymore(since he's a dud) and get him to agree with you that it isn't working. ps, tell him that you still wanna be his friend or that you still wanna be in his life, so that he won't be mad at you or anything.

break up with your boyfriend, because when you start thinking stuff like that, you obviously don't like himenough any more. give yourself some time to think it over, and if ur sure you like the other guy, go out with him

lol..damn im in the same situation. except my bf is in the air force so thats why i cant take it.
but i think you should probably go with the other guy you like, because it seems you like him more and you have to stick with the one who is gonna make you happy. |

i've had something similar happen to me, where i stopped really liking my boyfriend. i wrote him a note saying that i just didnt know if it was gonna work out anymore, i felt confined by our relationship... he understood perfectly well, and i was able to move on without feeling bad. BUT TALK TO HIM IN PERSON. its so much nicer, i felt really weird about writing him a note.. and in consideration for your current bf's feelings, try to wait a couple weeks before you date someone else, he would b really hurt if he saw you holding hands with another guy the next day...

Well I broke up with my bf.. who didn't take it all that well, he actually called me an attention wh0re >.<, and then went on to block me on his buddy list (we were in a long distance relationship), so I guess all things considered I'm alright and thanks everyone for your help.
