Something I wrote for the "Poetry Slam" (mentioned in Brie's post) in 7th grade...
Cloaked in endless nothings, With a mind for my shield, With only the air as a weapon to wield I'll fight for my trove, With my pride in my hand, Charge forward with care, Every move planned As for the treasure, It's all but gold, Guarded by all sides, Yet nothing to behold, I suppose you must wonder, What I'm writing about, What the alleged "treasure" is, Soon you'll find out The treasure is, simply, The thoughts in my head, I guard them well, and wish them unread In life it can seem, that nothing's unique Sharing time, doing homework and chores, It's nice to have thoughts That are only yours Okay, it sucks. I know. I'm not much for poetry writing... I prefer books v.v |
