i forgot where i got this tutuorial, and i'm terribly sorry for not crediting the person who made it. please tell me if you do know who wrote up this tutorial! by the way, it only applies to adobe imageready.
+ + Image Mapping I don't think Image Mapping can ever go out of style, it's so very useful when making layouts. On the image below, click on one of the names it will take you to other websites, well kiddies this is Image Mapping. Open up the file you want image mapped in Image Ready. At the bottom you will find a window with 3 tabs(the imap window) Animation, Image Map and Slice, click on Image Map tab. Now go to the left hand side and on the TOOL PALETTE, click on the icon 3rd from the top in the 1st column, check the pic below. Now drag around the area you want to be imapped, view pic below As soon as your done imapping the first part go to the imap window at the bottom. In the Name box, give it a name or just leave that blank. Now in the box that says URL: type the URL that you want what you just imapped to go to (ex: http://you.com). Next where it says Target: if you need to type the frame name that you want that link to appear in. Where it says Alt: write the alt tag you want it to say when a mouse hovers over that section on the image (ex: "Me, You, WWW, Clear"). For every image you want to have a link you NEED to repeat these steps. Now that your all done imapping go to Edit>>Copy HTML Code>>For All Slices. I know your wondering what happend, what it did was copied the coding to the clipboard, open Notepad (or wherever you write your HTML on) and hit CTRL V (paste). + + by the way, my banner on my xanga uses imagemaps. |

maybe someone should make a pin on this subject so that people can stop asking on where to make it and how.
Just a suggestion. |

http://www.createblog.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=12522 No, they don`t need to pin it. They should look more carefully in the Webdesign Chat >> Tutorials. That`s all they need to do!
