I need to get my hands on this font but I have only been able to find it for sale as either half or full font family for $400-$800 and I don't have resources to be spending that much on a font. does anyone know where i could purchase just the one font in the family?

I agree. That is absolutely ridiculous for a font. Have you thought about any alternatives instead?
