WHAT IS THE HPA?

The Harry Potter Alliance (HPA) strives to fight the evils in our world by creating social change through activism. The HPA promotes and supports literacy, equality, media reform, fair trade, and environmental protection. They are extra special because teens and adults alike can get involved. Since its creation, the organization has held numerous events and projects.

SPECIFICALLY?

• Sent five cargo planes to Haiti and raised over $125,000 for Haitian relief.

• Raised over 55,000 books during two Accio Books drive which were shipped to the Mississippi Delta, a youth village in Rwanda, and local charities around the world.

• Increased Mass Equality's calls to Maine voters to protect marriage equality by over 1200% in one day with over 3500 calls.

• Gathering over three quarters of the 10,000 signatures that the UK based Aegis Trust sent to the UN Security Council concerning Darfur

• Rocking Out Against Voldemedia, a campaign which aimed to stop media consolidation and fight for the free media we need and deserve.
