i used to be obsessed with basketball cards. recently my brother and i have been buying a few packs of cards here and there, looking through our old ones, organizing them. it makes me miss it. i know i could never be into it on the level i was (which was what made it fun) because now i have too many other worries and things to spend money on. i miss being a kid.

what hobbies do you wish you could get back into but know you can't because they are ultimately pointless? have you tried to get back into old hobbies?

I used to enjoy playing video games and Yu-Gi-Oh! cards (man, I was f*cking crazy over that shit that if you looked in my closet, you'd find thousands of Yu-Gi-Oh! cards just laying there).

I eventually just kind faded out of them, though. I've completely stopped playing with Yu-Gi-Oh! cards because I got tired of really bothering with them when no one else really wanted to play anymore and I guess I gave up. I've tried to play with them again, but it just gives me an immature feeling that bothers me. As for video games, I never really play any video games much anymore, unless I'm hanging out with a friend who wants to play (and I hardly try when I'm playing a video game as opposed to when I used to bang the shit out of the controller as if it were a person when I was younger).

I'm not sure, I miss that fun feeling, too. And, yeah, again, I'm still pretty young myself compared to you and others, but that doesn't mean I can't feel... nostalgic?

Meh.

EDIT:
Although, I did find a use for my cards. Let's just say I eventually showed up to places with a pretty fat wallet.

^Don't hate on heart gold yo. ISH IS GOING 3D SOON

I really can't think of any hobbies I used to have. I used to love running all the time, but I think the only reason I don't do that anymore is because I physically can't lol

Everything else I only lost interest in because everyone else around me did but I still have kept up with it some how. Like most of the card game stuff I now just play the video game versions now ect. ect. Feeling that something I like is immature or pointless is pretty alien to me.

I can call Sailor Moon a hobby, I guess. I used to watch it religiously and it's what got me into forums and web design to begin with. It's not that I lost interest, I just lost my obsession. And now that I've gotten so absorbed in music, I guess I'm kind of in a "rut" with web design, too. I just wish I had as much time as I used to. sad.gif

^lol my brother used to play yugioh but I never did. I kinda played this PSone game with him that's based on the card game, but that's as close as I got. He was young and adorable, it was hard to say no to him when he asked me to play games with him. sad.gif

Haha, let me think.... No, I don't think I collected any non-Asian cards. I guess I was just too Asian for my own good back when Pokemon TCG was still popular.

I used to collect baseball cards, but I was the only one. All my friends were on Pokemon at the time, so nobody ever wanted to trade.
