and won't eat dog food unless i melt peanut butter over it. i guess it was my fault bc i let her have some of my peanut butter/banana sandwich and now she's crazy for peanut butter.

i read that it was okay for dogs to eat peanut butter in moderation, but i really don't know if it's okay to be putting peanut butter in her bowl everyday.

and i've tried ignoring her so she'll get so hungry that she'll just eat her damn dog food, but she is annoying me like every five minutes. she'll start barking and nipping at my feet and whining and staring at me until i give her peanut butter.

:(

She'll probably gain some weight if you do that all the time.

we used to, but the vet told us it wasn't good for her since her fur was getting too greasy so now she's on this all veggie diet dog food shit. no wonder she doesn't like it.

you have to stand firm and stop giving it to her. just like with kids: the longer you enable he behavior the longer you have to deal with the problem. nip it in the bud. eventually she'll get over it.

I agree. If you keep giving in and spoiling her with something she probably shouldn't be eating that much, she'll get used to the treatment and expect you to always give her peanut butter. Put her in a separate room from you so that she can't get your attention and beg for any. If you ignore her long enough, she'll get so hungry that she'll eat her regular food.

ok, i agree with you guys, i should really just ignore her and stand firm. i'm locking her out of my room so she can't break me down with her cuteness.

you could add in a portion of soft dog food into her pellets, and each week, make it smaller until she no longer notices it. that's how i got my dog into hard food, and that's how my friends did it with their dogs, too.

You should tell your dog "you know where my parents are from, we eat you with peanut butter..."
