Okay, well there is this guy that i met while volunteering this summer. well i saw him once and then we [me and his/my friends] kinda hanged out during my break. then i see him again and his friends are like he wants to go out with me and im kinda shocked because we don't even know each other. i didn't want to say no at first but i thats what i want to say. i mean i would like to be friends with him but you know how its awkward most of the time when you turn down a guy. he's really cool and i would like to keep it as friends but i don't know how to tell him. any suggestions?
and um -he's older than me by like 3 years -i don't think we'll see each other and im not into flings -i just broke up with someone... |

tha guy i date is 3 yrs older than me too [im 16, hes 19], we're both not into flings, n i always return ta him at tha ends of my relationships...[i've had 2 bfs wen i was seein him...cuz we had problems...or may b jus me...its betta now tho
 ], those problems arent that bad n my first ex was 2 yrs older than mebut since u jus wana b friends wit him, jus b upfront bout it cuz if u dont say n e thing, its lyk u have a wound n tha longer u dont clean it n bandage it up, its jus gona get infected...but b sure he lyks u that way cuz its gona b really embarassin if he actually doesnt n that would most likely ruin tha relationship... |

Just Tell Him that you dont want a fling, & how you feel..
i know dumping a guy can be hard but just tell him the reasons why you dont want to go out with him & if he doesnt understand just break it to him straight.. hope that , that wasnt too mean sounding but you gotta do what you gotta do right? <3 DAVe |

wait a second..HIS FRIENDS told you, but not him, himself?? then how can you be sure??
well..when the time comes, tell him he asked the wrong girl at the wrong time.  don`t regret it when you see him with another girl...you made the right choice. there will always be other guys & us, girls need to remember that.

I agree with i_like_piratez. If his friends told you, and not him, they may be lying.
 If he actually asks you out, just tell him upfront how you feel. You just want to be friends. Hopefully, you can actually stay friends.
