1) Learn HTML
2) Learn Photoshop or Dreamweaver or Firework or Imageready, any graphic-designing software.
3) Get started

Simple as that...I think o_O

you can try looking at some skins & learn the html & alter it to your liking (but also...if you take somebody's idea..give them credit)

ppssst..Dreamweaver isnt a graphic-designing program..and also, the HTML that comes outta Dreamweaver doesnt work on Xanga. happy.gif

You're not helping much. You were a newbie once, just like all of us.

And as for the question at hand, there are some tutorials in Webdesign -> Tutorials that might help, as well as a few tutorials in the Big Book of Resources (pinned here in Webdesign.)

ok yeah. if i were you i would not be saying anything like that. youre really not the best at it, so dont act like you know everything about making layouts.

lissaexplains.com is pretty good. its for the really basic stuff though. and you can go to the big book of resources which is here might have some html help links.

ah...you're right. just..learn html, then try graphic-designing w/ everything i mentioned cept dreamweaver, and then you're good to go.

w3schools.comlearn the basics.. i know createblog has a css and div tutorial. but if you wanna flat out learn html, go to w3schools.com or echoecho.com
