Abortion! No way am I having a baby of some man who raped me! Besides, what kind of life will that child have as it grows up? If I stay pregnant, I can kiss school goodbye even if I don't keep it. If you don't get an abortion, your life and the babies life will be messed up. Besides, if you get one right away, the "baby" doesn't even look like anything. Nobody gets hurt, and you can continue with your life.

If I was raped, and someone told me I had to go through being pregnant at such a young age simply because a horrible man decided to hurt me...I would go crazy. It makes no sense. Being stupid and using no protection is different from rape. That's why i say abortion. Then I would kill the man who raped me.

well...outta curiosity...is it true that only girls get raped and boys cant? cuz if the victim were a guy then he wont have the 'part' that a girl has that is involved in a rape...right?

I'd say abortion, now before you can kill me for my cruelty, let me elaborate. If I let the baby live, it would scar my heart to hide the fact that its father was a rapist and is born unwanted and it would scar my heart even more if it actually knew its father was a rapist. Second, if I put it up for adoption, it will grow up lonely and thinking like its abandoned. I don't want my children to suffer because of these things, plus, if I get pregant because of a rape, it would clearly say, "NOT READY AND NOT ENOUGH MONEY TO RAISE IT". And one more VERY EVIL AND CRUEL REASON (you can kill me for saying it). To help prevent overpopulation.

i'm against abortion so that's a no for me. And i know that it's gonna be hard for me to take care of a baby while i go to school. so i would put it up for adoption.

abortion, i think abortion is wrong but in this case i think its okay. because its an unwanted baby that wasnt even supposed to be born. if i got pregnant from like someone i loved that thats okay to have the baby or put it up for adoption if im too younf or something.

No way, Jose' would I kill the poor thing; everyone deserves a chance to live, and no one deserves to live MORE than a baby! Plus, abortion (*shudder*) could hurt the mother. I don't think under ANY circumstances is abortion ok. I mean, c'mon..if you don't want the "unwanted" baby..go through the pregnancy, have it, then put it up for adoption. If you abort a baby..you should be aborted yourself. (Sorry..I get really offensive. =( )

I don't believe in abortion, so i would give it up for adoption. If i was a suitable age, maybe out of high school, i would probably keep it and raise it.
@ - i wouldn't kill a baby. even if it would grow up and figure out it was made from rape. killing a baby wouldnt make anything better. but later in life, if you found the child, you could get to know it and i'm sure it would be happy you just gave it up for adoption. [nice name btw]

I used to say abortion indefinitely, but my views have somewhat changed. I think that I would choose adoption.

I would give it up for adoption. Even though the baby was concieved out of rape, I don't think that I could have an abortion. Its like murdering an innocent child. I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I did that.

It's not yet proven that behavior is completely dependent on environment. Remember the nature vs nurture controversy? So if he believes that violence is hereditary, it could happen.

Hum. I'm studying psych with a specialisation in child development. Unfortunately, that statement is correct, at least to some extent. I dont' think that morality is genetic but I do know that there are a LOT of mental illnesses that have a significant genetic component. Schizophrenia is one as is depression.
Personally I think that most rapists are likely to have some form of mental illness. Perhaps that could be inherited but that doesn't mean that the child would be bad.


That having been said, I don't really know for sure, but I think I'd get an abortion. I'm at completely the wrong place in life for a child right now. If I got pregnant to my boyfriend, I'd probably keep it because it would have been created out of our love for each other, but a rapist? Hell no!
I don't think that babies are truly alive until they can feel pain so if abortion occurs before the nervous system is developed, I don't think I have a real problem with it.

All that aside, I'm on the pill so fat chance of ANYONE getting me pregnant :D

the nervous system and stem cells are the first things that develop, i think.

i wouldnt know what i'd do, because i havent been in the situation and i hope that i never am.
