Being a bboy heavy into the scene, I thought U Got Served was 99% garbage.

For starters, I didn't like how drugs were tied into the movie. Although the acting was bad, there could be some mother in suburban white america believing that drugs are a part of hiphop dancing in some way.

The acting was dreadfully poor. As fine as Megan Good is, her character annoyed me to no end. Twice more, who the hell thought the boys from B2k could act? Hell, they hardly can dance.

The dancing is a hard assessment because when you have a year to choreograph routines, anyone can be made into a star. I'm not saying Omarion and Marques can't dance, but that doesn't mean they're good. The ebst dancers in the movie were the ones that hardly got any camera time or recognition.

And, oh yea, the tall white boy from their (Lil Saintz) rival team would've wrecked almost anyone in that movie. He was at Battle of the Year 2002 and was unbelievably good.

I really liked this movie. I have to agree with you about the "anyone can be made a star when the dancing is choreographed" statement because the truth is real dance battles are just FREESTYLE not choreography moves. Although it was a good move its nowhere near as good as the old school dance movies such as Crush Groove and Wildstyle.

Not necessacrily true these days. Although black people may have started these hip-hop dances many other people have embraced the hip hop culture as their own. Race does not really matter when it comes to dancing its just whether or not the person who is doing the moves has the talent. The three best dancers at our school are a black, hispanic, and a white kid. I can dance good to but Im nowhere on their level especially when the hispanic can do spin on his head. Everything becomes easy with practice. Its all about the dedication that determines how good you will be at it.
