Alright, So i was having this discussion with my boyfriend Troy. We were very opposite in this discussion.
So our school has certain lots to park in. The senior parking lot is closer to the school then the other two parking lots are for the underclassmen. Well last friday a junior girl parked in the senior parking lot and a senior boy went to her car and tagged her car with car paint saying "Senior parking lot only!". The junior girl wants to now press charges for vandalizing her car. May i add that the car paint is washable and she can easily wipe it off. I think she is taking it way too far however my boyfriend says that she isnt. The reason why i think she is taking it too far is because seniors have tagged other cars, like last year at our snowcoming 2 seniors tagged cars saying Snowcoming '08 and usually on the last day seniors tag their graduating year on cars and no one pressed charges. I mean its washable paint, if it wasn't then yes press charges. But people have tagged cars before. Anyways what do you guys think. Do you think she is taking it too far? Or Do you think she has the right to press charges. |

It's her car, and if she doesn't want her car to be tagged, she has every right to be mad about it. She might not go with the flow of how traditions and rules are at your highschool. Just because it's been an ongoing thing, doesn't mean it's right. There is no rules that says they are allow to tag someone else's car.

I think she has the right to press charges but she is a fool to do it and if anyone has any sense she won't get anything out of it. either way she if a fool and needs to take a chill pill. You should find out where she lives and paint every car in her driveway with all kinds of crap.

I mean of course if it was me id be pissed, however i wouldn't park where i wasn't suppose to mainly because our principle said that they will tow the cars away. And i would probably just make the kid wash it off for me. |

If the parking spots are assigned or even if it's a general school rule that only the seniors should park in that specific parking lot than the person who wrote on her car shouldn't be the one enforcing that rule... the school should be doing that. When I was in high school there was always at least one officer who would drive around the parking lot to make sure cars were in their appropriate spots (not parking in pedestrian walking areas or parking in the wrong parking lot for your grade). I think she has a right to be upset, but if she could have gotten a ticket or towed I think the paint on her car isn't as bad as either of those options.
If it isn't a school rule and is just tradition that only seniors park in that specific lot than I think whoever painted her car has too much time on his hands and his teachers should give him more homework. My car got painted when I was in highschool by mistake (they thought it belonged to someone else) and it was a bitch to get it off. |

The one for the seniors is closer to the school then the other two are meant for underclassmen. They arent asorted by grade because not everyone drives and our school has only 1098 kids. And our principal has made it clear that he would walk around the senior parking lot making sure there were no underclassmen parking. Seniors have a blue parking sticker and everyone else has red. And this has been the same for years so its not like she didn't know where to park. I've never had my car tagged but im sure it will at the end of the school year. |

the thing is, even if she parked in the senior parking lot, it doesn't mean her car has to be tagged. if you'd be pissed about it, why don't you understand her side? yeah, it's easy to wash off, but that's not the point.

yeah it's kinda drastic to want to press charges, but the people who tagged it are clearly douchebags. in a couple of years they will realize there is nothing remotely cool or special about being a senior in high school. like everyone said whether it's the "seniors parking lot" or not, there's no reason to think if you parked there then that's giving permission for your shit to be vandalized. she was only giving permission for the school to get onto her if they checked the parking lot.

No, she didn't take it out of hand. Tag my car and see what the f*ck happens. You never, ever, ever f*ck with someone's car. Washable or not, that was low.
It's a parking lot; it's not even that serious. |
