Logo crit Options

I was asked to do a logo for the place I intern at seeing as they don't have a real logo yet. I'm not being paid for it so I don't wanna put too much effort into a new concept. I'm just doing what the boss wants as a logo. He gave me a reference of what he wanted it similar to.


Basically his idea is basically some bold icon which represents the company coming out through the mess of the competition. The business mainly deals with marketing and promoting visuals for entertainment and gossip blogs, driving traffic to their client's sites.
