Figured I'd try out doing vectors on YouTube, so here's my first one.

Original: http://i44.tinypic.com/jgo1fr.jpg
Vectored: http://i29.tinypic.com/av6edf.jpg
HD on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Id7rvykdY6M&fmt=22

I know there are some spots that could use some touching up on (specifically the hose & her hand), but I'm not going to get too nit-picky for it taking an hour and twenty minutes. I'm still looking for constructive feedback, though, to make future ones better.

that is so extremely cool. and the way you do vectors is very interesting. will comment more later. oh one thing though, the music isn't very captivating, and doesnt quite match the mood of the picture.

Why did you cut off the shoe? D: I know the image doesn't include the whole shoe, but it's just a little annoying for me to look at it cut off. The face looks alright, not bad. The dress bothers me though. Considering you did this in a short amount of time, it's not terrible, but I honestly think it would be better if you left it one shade or if you spent more time on it to add in more shades. The black marks on the dress look really choppy. The boobs look so gross too but I guess I can't blame you on that since it already looks awkward in the original.

Agreed with Julia. Interesting way of doing this.

yes! It was so weird how you did it. You would trace out and entire section and then you would trace it out AGAIN except leave some space... what did that do? Make an outline or something? =o

Absolutely, if I'd been going for realism. I've been doing some vectors for someone else, and kinda got into that rhythm. They wanted it to look like the original photo, but with minimal details.

Haha, more than just the shoe annoys me. I think it's the shine on her butt, and too thin a line on her left boob.

Yep--line art. I could have done it as a stroke path in Illustrator, but then you don't get variable widths, and it looks awkward (even more so than this already does).

I've had a few people tell me this is an interesting way of doing it (here and elsewhere)...exactly what's interesting about it? I figured it to be pretty conforming, if not bland.

I agree that you need to work on your shading. But this looks so cool! Nice job flowers.gif
