Not feeling it at all
It looks a bit randomly put together tbh
The sidebar looks a bit awkward
The font looks weird
The background COULD go with the banner if you put a texture on it.

Why don't you try a different background color for the content/modules area? Perhaps a darker grey or try using the eye dropper tool on the banner to get a color from there. Then you can use the creamy color on the banner as the font's color.

I just think the white and black is too contrasting compared to the soft blend of the banner... maybe it's just me. _unsure.gif

I added the texture, changed the font (not so sure about it though), and added a little gradient.

You're using a scripty font and a grungy background. They don't really go together as far as theme so pick one. I'm going to be really honest and say that I do not like the coloring you did for the image at all.

Edit
Your gradient made the image look darker which really wasn't the way to go, imo. And I think I like the first font better. Iono.

I think you should use a more classic font. imo the picture looks way too dark now. Your pictures look kinda like you just pasted them together. Maybe some kind of blending would help?

Can someone give me some tips on what fonts to use?
I'm not posting a screenshot yet but I changed the content areas to a dark grey took the gradient off, and no words.

Use Arial with all lowercase letters and set the thingy that squishes the letters together to like -60 or something?

And I don't like the header.
The colors look too washed out in contrast to the black and white
Make it 'pop' more :]

&& do something more interesting with the content areas ._.

In your final version (I saw it in the queue), the purple headers are really tough to read, and the background doesn't repeat very well.
