this is one of the those designs that you probably spend hours on and feel so good about it but the truth is that your labor didn't pay off. the banner appears to be a small blend with a few effect change and some text effects. nothing pops or catches my eye and i don't feel like the dark blue and black go together. use a fun color scheme.
