Does Using a Dishwasher Actually Decrease Water Use?, dish washer or hand washing?

Ugh, my mom used to buy the powder stuff because it was cheap, but it never cleaned the dishes. I like using the Electrisol/Finish ones with the ball in the middle.

So True. Most of the time it is because i am lazy to hand wash and a lot of time goes into hand washing, when i could put it in the dishwater while i do something else
But i also care about how much water it consumes
