Yeah, Gigi. I was looking at the reviews on Sephora and most of the tags said it was not drying. ermm.gif The packaging is cute though, hahaha.

And will do! I don't wear e/s a lot because it's season though so I'll probably delay that. :3

Weird, maybe it was the color? What was it?

I really want to go makeup shopping...but I'm totally NOT in need of any makeup. I mean, I don't have THAT much but it's definitely enough to last me for several years LOL.

It's called 'Lady's Choice,' lol. Maybe, IDK. I'm probably never gonna buy any other colors though because I don't like lip products that don't smell good. Maybe I should get MAC lipsticks. I find it odd how I don't have any.

Same here Gigi, LOL. I told myself I would stick to the essentials as I run out but that never works, hahaha. It doesn't help w/ LE collections coming out too. sad.gif

I wish I stocked up on more m/u back in HK. =_= I regret not researching much. It's hard because sometimes everything's everywhere, and i can't speak the Chinese-su/canto, so I can't really figure out what to get. ;P You know how the salespeople are over there - always wanting to help, trying to sell you something or another.

If anyone is looking for a waterline, waterproof, all day eyeliner i recommend Cover Girls OUTLAST SMOOTH WEAR

its amazing.
doesnt rub off, doesnt come off with water(i can wear it in the pool), and doesnt even come off THAT easily with the three diff makeup removers i've tried on it (maybell., mac, and mary kay)

it comes in lost of colours, my friend and i chose black(300)

i will never buy a different black, every day eyeliner :3
and ps: i love body shop
=P own some of their stuff.
i want to try all their grapefruit stuff.

Wow I'll definately try out that eyeliner once my sephora is done. Im still looking for my HG black black eyeliner haha (:

Ah and I loove the body shop - not their cosmetics though. I think their eyeshadows are a bit too shimmery and not much colour. I'm more of a colour fanatic with eyeshadows. I went to check out their new line of makeup - they were just too shimmery for my taste. They were like, mac's msf's but with extra extra shimmer.

Are you talking about the Annabelle Studio pigments? I couldn't find them! Maybe cus I haven't been to a Shoppers Drug Mart recently, just a London Drugs. I looooooooove Annabelle pigments!

I've also heard that Sephora's liners aren't too shabby!

Yess the studio pigments! The colours look so vibrant, but I'd love to know how really pigmented they are. I really want to check out the pink one and purple.. well just all of them.

Annabelle is really going for that mac-type products. With their palette line of eyeshadows now their pigments.

I'm obsessed with shoppers drug mart! The best one I've went to for cosmetics, was in downtown toronto. The beauty section was literally like half a sephora. MUFE, Dior, Lancome, SmashBox, Benefit and more- ah I loved it.

It so does. It went on so light I thought I was doing something wrong.

Anyone check out Style Black and the DSquared collections at mac yet? I was so excited so I went right before class. I absolutely love the eyeshadows in the SB collection. I have my eyes on Cinderfella and and Gilt by Association. I didnt see Smolder though (someone moved it from their display case D:), the black eye liner. I was in a rush so I totally forgot about it!

All I got was the volcano ash exfoliator (for now!) I cant wait to try it out.

The DSquared collection is not bad. I really like the purple and blue greasepaints. And I have my eye on the nude rose lipstick, I love the colour!

Hm, not really a huge fan of super-dark anything, so I'm probably not getting anything from Style Black...except for the Volcanic Ash Exfoliator! I think I might get two of them!

DSquared is kind of a bore to me, but the nude rose lipstick looks BEAUTIFUL.

Ah I just tried the exfoliator last night. Love it love it! My face felt so smooth after. A lot of exfoliators made my skin dry but this one didnt. I might join you Gigi and buy another so I can have two haha

Tina - got a deluxe sample of Lady's Choice from Sephora and I actually don't find it drying at all! I can't say for sure how it performs after wearing it for a while though. And I'm not even sure I'll continue to wear it because it's a bit too opaque and light for me, thus making me look corpse-y (yeah Lady's Choice isn't that light esp compared to other nude lipsticks, but I have very naturally pigmented lips and anything lighter makes em look funny).

Though I can see this ROCKING with a smokey eye. I'm gonna check out the other Benefit Full Finish lipsticks now since I love the texture so much.

Yeah it was a sample from Sephora, Gigi. XD.gif It's too light for me too even though my lips aren't that pigmented. Maybe I'll get another color to give it a another try.

I'm actually interested in that, LOL. Not because it's Twilight, but because I love the colors for Bella and.. (I forgot the other girl's name, shucks.)

I don't know if this is just me, but whenever I try on a new lip product, my lips get really dry. It takes me several uses before my lips don't get dried out by the product. Weird..

Kay, just got the UD lash primer because I'm running out of my Clinique one. I wonder if it's as good as they say it is.

Shiseido is next on my list of mascara bases to try! I was originally gonna get it once my Clinique one started running out, but UD bumped to #1. :x

UD lipstick is so cute! I never tried it but their 24/7 lipliners are amazing. throb.gif I neeeeed to start getting into Cargo.
s
Gigi, it's not bad. I like it ALMOST as much as the Clinique one. I play a lot and sometimes I have mascara on. The Clinique one leaves it perfect after I've sweated, but the UD one leaves me with a slight hint of raccoon eyes. It's not that much, but it's somewhat noticeable if you look close enough. If you're not going to be working out like me, it would be perfect. Just kidding, I remembered that it kinda clumps. I generally like a little clump, but it's quite a lot, and I know it's not my mascara that's clumping.

So awhile back some of you were talking about the Calvin Klein makeup going on sale at sepohra, I was so bummed out that I missed it. Plus I never got to try out the makeup. Well lucky for me today I stopped by Winners and they just put out some CK makeup for cheap! And it's so rare for Winners to actually sell some decent makeup.

I got

- the delicious pout lip gloss in sparkle. I really love this lip gloss and it does smell delicious. It reminds me of my Too Faced diamond class lipgloss in Fire (which I also picked up at winners for a bargain! 4.99!)

- lavender haze eyeshadow. It was the only colour out, but I love mauvey purples so I was majorly psyched!

- the flush with desire blush in Spare. Its a nice pink colour, really pigmented. I compared it to my orgasm blush and it really sticks out.

- ultimate edge gel liner in Black ice. Its okay, I just got it cause there was only two out. It's pretty much like stila's smudge pot - doesnt compare to macs fluid line though.

- endless creme concealer - I was so surprised the shade was actaully my colour. Not sure if it can compare to my MUFE or Studio Fix concealers but I'll give it a shot.

After all that, I only spent 60$. They were all about $9.99 each except from the blush which was 12.99$

I totally spent the money I was saving for, for the holiday sets coming out ): but it was worth it.

@ Gigi that photo looks gorgeous! I thought it was from a magazine. I'm totally going to check out that mascara out next. My boxom mascara is drying out >.<

^ That's so awesome! Tell us how the concealer goes. And I really want that lip gloss now :(

And thanks! Actually it's the Shiseido mascara base, I used a combo of L'Oreal Voluminous Waterproof and Clinique Lash Power as the actual mascara. But the base is amazing <3

Speaking of mascaras, I've been meaning to try out Shu Uemura Mascara Basic...supposed to be great for Asian ladehs.

Tina - ooh now you make me want to try the Clinique base. And I'm totally loving the UD lipstick. I think the new one has a reformulated smell, and it's wonderful. Plus the packaging is so darn freaking cute.

...ever since a Sephora opened in Vancouver, I have been spending WAY. TOO. MUCH. My excuse is retail therapy, buy one two three things for myself after I complete one horrible week of midterms/assignments LOL. sigh.

HAUL AND SHORT REVIEW;

bought this stuff kinda sorta recently,
included:

AVON Perfect Wear Liquid Foundation-
not entirely happy with this. Doesnt apply the coverage I want. And i found with AVON you need to order a shade/colour lighter than you THINK you do, to get the colour you need..so ended up getting the wrong colour anyway. I'll use this when i run out of foundation or for spot coverage, but nothing else..

AVON Smooth Minerals Blush in Hearty Peach-
very pigmented, easy to blend, nice colour for any skin tone i think. its light too :) i love that..not light as in sheer, but it feels kinda.. uhh how to describe..it feels fluffy hehe, def. gunna buy more in different colours. And for the price, the quality and amount of it is awesome

Revlon Matte Eyeshadow in Tempting Teal-
MUST BUY FOR ANYONE. I LOVE THIS. NOT only the colour, but this whole product, I'm going to buy this whole "collection" in every colour. It applies gorgeously and doesnt crease as easily as other eyeshadows. My friend also bought this in this colour and we are both verrrry happy with it.

AVON Smooth Mineral Eyeshadow in MINERAL ICE-
For the price and amount of ice shadow, it's a nice eyeshadow. At the time, I guess I was really into shimmery e/s's..and lately im into more of the matte kind.. so it may be affecting how much i like it. It's a nice colour and very pigmented. doesnt take a lot to apply either. I would recommend this "collection" of eyeshadows to anyone who was looking for cheap loose or mineral eyeshadow. I'm going to get more shades of this..but for a first try, i like it. Nothing BIG to rave about tho, it's good quality. That's the best i can say about it.

NYC Nail Varnish in CHINA TOWN-
hahh, i actually bought this because i liked the name and it reminded me of a MAC nail varnish I had wanted (name has slipped my mind, too busy to look, sorry!) But it may appear black but it's like a shimmery purple-black that gives off a silver sparkle. Very pretty. Lasts A LONG time, doesnt chip easily, and it's cheap ^____^

PURE ICE Nail Varnish in KISS ME HERE-
my friend and i both bought this because we had never seen a grey nail polish before O__________O, I had on the internet, first brand that comes to mind: Barry M. But never in real life. hahah. This brand is an okay one, i own a couple of their varnishes, it takes two or three coats to apply a nice even colour, but the colours are "pure" and very nice and have a nice variety. This grey one is sooo pretty in colour. Perfect for winter you think? hehe, x

AVON Foundation-
whatever kind of foundation this is has slipped my mind. Like I said, i found out you need to order a shade lighter than you THINK from AVON, so i ended up getting the wrong colour on this one...far too tan for me...but I decided I'd try it out and use it for 1. this "review" and 2. for halloween :) It's a nice foundation, applies some-what evenly, works great when you apply with a fingers, not a brush. It leaves your skin "matte" looking, and smooth, but not "cakey". I would order this again in the right colour if it werent for..................

MAYBELLINE DREAM MATTE MOUSSE-
I WILL NEVER BUY A DIFFERENT FOUNDTION. WELL i cant say never, of course I'll try new ones, but i've tried ALL KINDS, and this one is DEFINITELY one i'll keep going back to!! My friend made me try hers and the next day i bought it =) IT'S GORGEOUS. Makes your skin look so nice and natural..it doesnt take a lot either! blends PERFECTLY and the "mousse" haha..its very light weight! WILL RECOMMEND TO ANYONE. It's definitely up there on my top five favourite makeup products...probably number 1 or 2 !! The ONLY problem i've had with it is it makes my skin super oily!!(after a couple of hours) But it doesnt on my friend :( can anyone help?! i've tried "setting it" and putting a powder over top of it so it would reduce the oiliness.. but it doesnt seem to be helping *much*, HELP? I LOVE THIS STUFF, DONT WANNA QUIT USING

CoverGirl Outlast Smoothwear Eyeliner-
I had already mentioned this stuff, it's so amazing! I havent bought another eyeliner since i bought this stuff last summer. It doesnt run or smear after you wear it, but is great for smudging! Sounds kinda oxymoronic(spelling) i know..but that's just how it is :) goes on great, colour is perfect..this is just a replacement for the last one since i was running low, lol. GO TRY IT! :)

NOT SHOWN IN PHOTO:
AVON SUPERSHOCK MASCARA IN BROWN:

it's a nice mascara, that's all i have to say...i bought brown but i dont wear it much because i wish i had bought black >.<' makes your eyelashes look "full"

i hope you all read this >.<' really wanted to share~

oh, i also thrifted this Sephora bag! PERFECT CONDITION..nothing was even on the inside! It has a clear pocket on the inside so you can always see what you're grabbing and a pocket on the front. It's big enough to hold everything, but small enough for travel/purse! It has a small magnetic button thing on the side so that the zipper part folds down and the bag is perfectly rectangular,,,i loved that feature =) Also has a wipe-off surface :)

ENJOY,
hope to hear some "reviews" from you all too!

I tried this stuff a couple of years ago and I didn't like it, but that might just be because I have combination skin. It left me oily, too, and prone to breakouts (and my skin typically isn't like that). I switched to Revlon Colorstay and it isn't a lot more expensive than the Maybelline. Maybe the Maybelline is better for people with dryer skin types shrug.gif
