No money to buy a new foundation every few months!

My friend told me that she liked BE (Bare Escentuals/Minerals) because the starter kit includes two shades in cause your shade changes during the summer. It's always nice to have two colors. However, I usually keep my face out of the sun anyway, or just wear moisturizer with SPF rather than wearing any foundation powder. This shouldn't be much a problem for you, since Canada doesn't get as much sun, unless you're going to HK every summer, lol! I only wore eye-makeup when I was in HK.

Beenly - yea what Gigi and Tina said. In addition, MAC's been releasing new collections like crazy (how many times has it been this year? And it's still only Q3), fueling a makeup collector's addition, lol. Also, it's difficult to get discounted MAC-anything (unless you go to CCO). This is different for other [foreign] brands (love you, SaSa and Bonjour). If your mother looks like a clown, you should tell her. Definitely needs a new foundation, PLUS it's supposed to blend towards her neck (unless her face is really red/pink). Oh yea and BAD NEWS, my friend wears MAC and her face doesn't match her neck, lol. But I think she refuses to get a darker color, especially since she cakes on her makeup. sweating.gif

Hmm, I don't have a lot of make-up, but have tried these ideas?
http://makeupbyjewlz.blogspot.com/2007/11/...ganization.html

http://blog.mycosmeticbag.com/mac-cosmetic...rganization-101

I like the idea of rice in jars for brushes.

I like the rice and nail polish rack idea. I think I might do it.

not yet~
i have seen a few things where i get like 50cents off something, but not everything
so yes discounts, but i THINK, i havent looked much into it, but i think the more you sell the more discounts you get.

there is also a "preview" magazine we get, and we can get things like a $1 off regular price when it comes out to "the public"

So yes, but i think it increases if you sell more

Monistat Anti-Chafing Gel FTW!

Actually I haven't tried the Smashbox primer so I can't compare, but that's working pretty awesome-ly for me right now.

p.s. I think Trish used to sell Mark or something - I've seen her advertising it on her blog a while ago.

While we're on the subject of primers, I got a sample of the Makeup Forever HD primer and seriously guys, it smells like bug spray to me. It's gross. I haven't even tried it cus the smell nauseates me.

Christina - I don't really use a primer that often, only when I'm going out for a looong time or if it's for a special event. I don't really find that using a primer makes my skin any more flawless, it just makes it slightly less shiny for longer and blends better. SO YEAH my perfect skin was completely natural. wink.gif LOL so full of myself...Nah I really do have blemishes and crap, but concealer is way more useful than primer heh

haha the only primer I use is udpp. BTW that smells like crap to me, but it's not really strong, so it's okay. I really should get some translucent finishing powder, but it's not really necessary.

lol Sally, makeup gets you in heat, huh? LOLOL btw Miss all you xmas.gif QTs sad.gif

Oh believe me, UDPP smells EXCELLENT compared to MUFE HD face primer. UGH. UDPP mildly smells like crayons to me.

I really wanna try the new Urban Decay face primers!

I use the Body Shop's Vitamin C skin boost as a primer. It smells amaaaazing like oranges. And it mattes the face up pretty well for me.

Oh and Gigi I went to sephora and tried to find the stila eyeliner you mentioned. I found the tester but they were out of it ): major bummer. I swatched the tester on my hand and it was really black, darker than Urban Decay but like you said, it smudged quite a lot on my hand compared to UD. When I used makeup remover on it, it wiped off straight away, so I guess on my waterline it will just melt off =(. I loved how black it was though.

I swatched Sephora's waterproof kohl liner on my hand and compared it to UD's, to my surprise it was super black like stilas and didnt wipe off right away with the makeup remover. So I'm gonna give it a go on my waterline for awhile and see how it goes. I never knew sephora's eyeliners were so pigmented.

Has anyone tried Annabelle's new pigments? I think they're new, I saw them at Shoppers yesterday. The colours look so fab and vibrant. But they had no testers sadly so I couldnt test them out ):

If anyone is looking for a waterline, waterproof, all day eyeliner i recommend Cover Girls OUTLAST SMOOTH WEAR

its amazing.
doesnt rub off, doesnt come off with water(i can wear it in the pool), and doesnt even come off THAT easily with the three diff makeup removers i've tried on it (maybell., mac, and mary kay)

it comes in lost of colours, my friend and i chose black(300)

i will never buy a different black, every day eyeliner :3

and ps: i love body shop
=P own some of their stuff.
i want to try all their grapefruit stuff.

Are you talking about the Annabelle Studio pigments? I couldn't find them! Maybe cus I haven't been to a Shoppers Drug Mart recently, just a London Drugs. I looooooooove Annabelle pigments!

I've also heard that Sephora's liners aren't too shabby!

So I bought the Too Faced Eyeshadow Insurance today because my UDPP ran out. Time to see the difference myself. :3

Oh and so I got a sample of Benefit's lipstick today. Does anyone use it? It dried up my lips like CRAZY.

The Smashbox primer never worked well for me, but I only used it back before they had the non-oily (or was it less-oily?) version. I loved my NARS one but it stung my face after a while. sad.gif

It's a drugstore in Canada. There are drugstores in other countries apart from America, yanno.

Do you mean the full-finish Benefit lipsticks? I've never tried them but from pictures they looked sorta drying.

Do tell us how the Too Faced primer holds up!
