OH they had the lipglosses too! The ones in the funky looking tube thing. They looked too glittery to me though so I didn't get them, then checked reviews when I got back home and almost kicked myself, because everyone loves them. :( Delicious Pout, I think they're called?

And yes I do like the CK lipsticks a lot, they're very creamy and shiny, sort of like a MAC Slimshine. I would imagine I would go through it pretty quickly though. Oh well they're so pretty, I don't mind!

Costco has the weirdest deals! I heard some people got MAC shadows there. I've seen the Lancome mascaras and a few Smashbox things back in the day when I wasn't obsessed with makeup. And I got a Stila contouring trio there + lip glaze sticks! I go to Costco pretty often so I don't miss out on the deals heh.

Oh and, MAC Fluidline has pretty good opacity, and it's quite matte. The Japanese liquid liner I have is very opaque (not watery), but has a satin finish. I don't really mind this since it makes the colour less chalky-looking *shrug*. But Revlon Colorstay liquid liner is EXTREMELY watery, I don't know what it is with that thing. And shiny. Bleugh. I know other people have good luck with Fluidline on their oily lids though so you might wanna give it a try.

^ I doubt they have it on their site. They're not really supposed to be selling them anyways.

I got the contouring duo + lip glaze sticks from there too. I also have this pack from Smashbox. You kind of have to be lucky enough to get there at a perfect time, Shelby. I've heard some Specktra girls get a ton of Stila duos for like.. $25?! I was like WTF and by the time I got there, there was no more. cry.gif Usually I see MAC e/s there for around $10 USD but they're usually in colors I would never wear.

I've been lemming those CK glosses for so long, OMG. Must find out if my Costco has some. :3

Oh and I've heard of deals like the ones at Costco at Target too, but I never actually saw them in stores.

Hm... I only see a few MAC e/s (like 3 diff shades), but they are the colors that I don't want, usually a mahogany-brown colors, or similar shades. Also, the e/s are almost $13 at my local Costcos, so I might as well just spend the extra $1.50 and buy them from MAC, in colors I actually would want/wear. Plus, if I want discounted MAC, I would just head to CCO, since they have more variety. My Costco SUCKS! D;

I've only seen Shiseido eyecreams and moisturizers as well, but they are usually the benefiance line, which I won't be using until I'l over 40, lol. I've never seen Lancome, Smashbox, or Stila products, which is a bummer to me. ;/ That's okay, I only go to Costco to buy movie tickets for cheap. ;D

You should check Specktra's thread on CCO sightings! It really helps! Plus, you should call in to see if they carry anything interesting (i.e. a lot of lipglasses, etc.).

Ruth - wait, okay where do you work at? I am so confused ;O But that's so cool that you get free stuff! But yea, Costco sells movie tickets (unrestricted) and it saves quite a bit. Movie tickets are pricey - $11.50 each ($10.50 with student ID), but you can buy 2 for $15 at my local Costco. It save quite a bit, since my friends are practically calling us every [other] week to watch the latest release. =_=

Since you seem to have larger eyes, as opposed to smaller, Asian eyes, you should consider the Shu Uemura eyelash curler - it works so well for me. You can always go to Sephora to see if it fits your eye shape, before you buy.

All you need, seriously, are mini pull-out drawers and a couple of cups. You can just get them at Target, though you can find some really cute ones at Japanese stores. :3

I dunno if someone mentioned this already, but the CK makeup is on sale @ Sephora too, hmmm..

Yeah I saw it on sale too! Breaks my heart cus I don't know what where I'll get CK if it's getting discontinued at Sephora. :( It's probably why it's at Costco in the first place.

Two questions.

1. Why do girls like the brand MAC a lot? Is the reason because the brand is affordable and effective with lots of variety to choose from?

2. Kinda harsh to say, but my Mom wears Clinique, and the make up she uses looks beautiful on her, but her face seems too whitish-clownish. Like, I think her makeup looks to strong on her. You know what I mean when you have a whitish powder face contrasting with her brownish tan hands? Is there any way I can tell her to look more natural ( which I think looks good on any girl ) with her brand?

1. Personally makeup whores like us like all brands, but yes MAC is a really popular brand. It is affordable, at least relative to the high-end brands like Dior and Chanel, but the quality is generally pretty good too. They have a large selection of colors in eyeshadows and lipsticks and whatnot, plus lots of colors in foundation. But overall I think the MAC hype is 70% brand name. Like if you have a 14 year old girl obsessing over MAC, it's the same kind of obsession as a Coach or Juicy Couture bag. There are plenty of brands that are just as good and don't get as much love, probably cus their selection is a lot smaller.

2. She should use a foundation that matches her neck. If it appears whitish/clownish then it's probably much lighter than her neck. She could either go out and buy a new foundation or help alleviate the problem with a bit of matte bronzer (which is what I do when I get darker in the summer...no money to buy a new foundation every few months!).

Gigi pretty much summed it up. MAC was one of the first brands I was introduced to also, so I guess I kind of stuck to it.
