Help please?
I can uninstall Linksys.. It broke and I want to uninstall it and reinstall it to see if that works, but I keep getting an error when I try to uninstall it. I used Google for 2 hours trying to find a solution, but nothing works. (Linksys is a wireless internet thing...) Here is my setup: Main computer (the one I'm using to type this right now) has the Linksys router. My computer (has adapter built in to contact the router to receive internet access). Dad's computer (same as mine). BUT, my computer stopped getting the signal for some reason. My father's still works just fine, so there's definitely nothing wrong with the router on the main computer. It has to be a problem with mine. this is the adapter I use http://www.linksysbycisco.com/US/en/products/WMP300N This is the router on the main computer http://static.howstuffworks.com/gif/produc...uter-large.jpeg It's a Wireless-N Broadband Router |

Is there a power button on the back of the router? If so press that or just un-plug it from the computer. Then you can plug it back in and see if it gets signal.
If that still doesn't work you need to find your router with your computer. By right-clicking the two computers and click "connect to a network" or somthing like that. You may need a username and password, which you might need to contact your internet provider for. We've had this problem a lot with our computers and my dad knows ALL about them. For any more help PM me. My dad & I will gladly help you(: |

What's the error message.
Have you tried, Add / Remove in the control panel? if you have, try it in safe mode (without networking) To get into safe mode, typically, when you start the computer, press F8 key and it should give you the advanced options or boot up options. You wanna press the F8 button after your PC makes that beep sound. |
