You need a minimum of 750w.

Most people don't have 750w PSU's installed in their PCs. Nvidia and ATI both need to come out with powerful cards that don't suck up a lot of power. The average consumer computer comes with a 305/350/400w power supply installed (I repair them all the time). The only company that produces a decent card for a low wattage setting like that is ATI with their 4670 entry. It's the best low wattage graphics card available.

Graphics cards beyond the 4670 require a bigger badder PSU, and that's usually an extra $100.00 on top of the price of a new graphics card.

It's alright man. :) There isn't some grand answer for the "best bang for buck" solution. It's a case by case sort of thing.
