Do a /list on irc,gamesurge.net or irc.synirc.net. They have a few good gaming channels.
If you play Garry's Mod, check out irc.gamesurge.net:6667/#gmod That's the official irc channel, and it's always packed. |

Gamesurge channel is a massive pile of shit. But the server has some generally good channels.

If you know anything about IRC, you would know that no channel stays on topic unless you're one of the freaks that join serious RP channels.
#gmod is probably the closest to what you're looking for. |
