I'm opening a blog/portfolio site for myself, and I planned on having a vector girl resembling myself on the layout. Well, she wasn't looking like me from the start, so I gave up on that completely and changed the design. Right now I'm stuck because I don't like the way the head looks at all anymore, but I love how everything else turned out.

Head is a bit big and awkwardly placed, but I still really like it!

I say just downsize the head some. The hair and the torso are looking great so far.

Thanks guys. I'm already working on a new head. It's a lot less exaggerated and cartoony. I want to post the updated version by tomorrow night, but I'm planning on redoing the hair and everything so it might take longer. I like the hair now, but it doesn't match the style I used for the body. D:

Downsize head and lower the eyes some I'd say. As for torso, her right shoulder (our left) is a little high. Oh and would like to see her neck thinner.

If all else fails with the head and it still looks awkward, I would reduce size of the eyes and rework her jawline.

Are you doing this in a vector program? It stinks, if not cause it kind of small.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I finished the new head. There's still something that bothers me about the face, but I can't figure it out. I think it's definately an improvement, though.

Yes, I'm using a program with vector tools, but I have no idea what you're trying to say in the second sentence. Are you saying my vector stinks or...?

Which vector program? I meant that it stinks cause if you were using photoshop or something, you couldn't save it as svg and make it bigger. Unless you aren't even showing us the original which is larger. if that makes sense. The update is amazing!

Ohh, I see what you're saying. I'm using Paint Shop Pro which doesn't allow you to save it as an svg, but I'm okay with that since I have no purpose for it really. She's going to be part of a layout not distributed for other people to edit, so as long as I can resize it to what I want in the program (which I can), all is well.

And thanks guys. happy.gif

yeah the face is bothering me still too and cant put my finger on it either. i still say lower the eyes a tad. maybe shorten the nose and enlarge the lips. and fiddle with the jawline. keep going the edited version is a big improvement.

It looks better. I like it. Maybe what's weird about the face is her eyes and her chin/jawline. Iono but it's still very cute. happy.gif

the hair covering the right of her neck (our left) makes her neck look odd shaped. and for the 2nd picture, her left arm (our right) is protruding out too much.

^...Are you still talking about mine, or are you referring to gojira's? I haven't posted any new versions since the last time you replied.

Anyway, I've decided to move on to the hands and legs for now. I started trying to fix up the little things suggested with the face, but I realized it's going to take a lot of tedious rearranging and such. I know that if I focus on one part too long I'll end up getting bored and give up completely, so I'm going back to it later.
