So I drove from NJ --> NYC/upper west side --> LaGuardia --> NYC/chinatown --> NJ just fine with almost no problem at all...

However, I was dropping my friend off at the hotel so she could check us in and was trying to find parking on Bowery St. I decided to park in front of the hotel and was just getting out of my car when this guy pointed out the busstop sign next to the sign that said it was ok to park there after 3am, so I got back in to move the car. I saw another parking spot down the street and moved like.. maybe just 3 feet when a f*cking cop taps on my window and pulls me over for not wearing a seat belt.

Wtf, ok so I should have put one on, but I literally didn't even move a full car length from my parking spot. So now I have a summons or ticket or whatever. Either I pay a $120 fine or plead not guilty and do the whole show up at court thing. Then, to top it all off, not 1 minute after getting the ticket, another cop taps on my window, trying to give me a parking ticket. I was like "wtf, i just got pulled over" and she gave me a nasty look. Bitch.

Anyways, my hot uncle (who's not blood related stubborn.gif) told me to just pay the fine since going to court takes a really, really long time and isn't worth it, while my aunt says that I should just go to court.

Have you ever gotten a ticket like that? What did you do?

The thing about going to court for a ticket is that you almost never win anyway. The judge almost always sides with the police officer in cases like this. I've seen people get out of tickets from time to time, but it's a rare occurrence.

Sounds like you got screwed pretty hard, but I'd just suck it up and pay the fine.

have to agree, it's unfair though.
my nephew and I went through an almost identical thing last month. we just sucked it up and paid the fine, but not before giving them a piece of our mind over the phone.

I was driving w/ my cousin and we got pulled over for going 90 on a 70 or something, but it was a completely empty road in the middle of nowhere; probably didn't help it was a red mustang

we got pulled over by a guy named mr. music

after going a bit further, we see another car pulled over; must've been that time to fill up quotas

not sure about a ticket like that but i went to court for driving on the shoulder. the cop ended up showing up, but my fine was reduced to 50 bucks. i heard stories from friends when the cop didnt show up, so they didnt have to pay shit.

Hm, I just got an unfair ticket a couple weeks ago too. A lot of my friends went to court...bc if the cop doesnt show up, then you dont need to pay the fine. OR if the cop does show up, then you can plead guilty (if you don't want to fight it) and request for community service instead of paying the fine (which I'm going to do). Usually they give it to you.
