I followed the instructions on the aforementioned site some time ago but figured there must be at least a couple of people here who weren't aware of it. If you recall in Photoshop 7 and earlier versions, when viewing psd thumbnails in Windows Explorer, you could see the psd thumbnail. This made it very easy to identify the file you wished to open. However, in Photoshop CS2 and after, this option was no longer available so most people just grew accustomed to viewing the psd icon for all psd files.

Well, there's a way if you're running Windows XP/ Windows Vista 32bit to view psd thumbnails again. If you're running XP, you should see immediate results. However, Vista users require a reboot. It worked for me. Please be careful and read all the requisite information.

If you're like me and you have hundreds or even thousands of psd files (even when they're aptly named), being able to readily identify them via Explorer is an asset.
