I do not believe that looks are everything. But there has to be a physical attraction there.

It would depend on the person. And how big they were.

When I think "fat"... I think like 300lbs of pure flab... and in that case no.

I honestly don't know.
I mean, I'm attracted to somebody's looks first. That's what makes me say, "I'm interested and I want to know more."
Generally, I don't go for fat guys, but I wouldn't say never.

But I wouldn't date obese guys.
Maaaybe I'll draw the line at...220lbs?
Does that sound shallow?

qft

I hate men that are so fit you hug them and they feel like a wood pole. Where is the squishy goodness? WHERE IS MY CUDDLEBUNNY?

When I was younger I was like like, "ew fat guy" but now that I'm older, I don't know, there is a difference between hugely disgustingly obese and chunky.

lol...i used to have a crush on one of best friend's brothers...until i hugged him, and it was like hugging a broom...haha.

anyway, it really depends on the person.
i tend to end up liking the boys that i'm friends with, haha.

whether it sounds snobby or not, i think chubby is ok, but it would bother me if they're huge.

i prefer like "normal" not too skinny, not too giant guys.
soccer players...haha...are great. =)

^ Same. And theres a difference between unhealthy and healthy. I know chunky guys who aren't sweaty, smelly, gross and breathe heavily.

If he was still healthy under all of that, sure why not? I mean, I wouldn't date a guy who is running a risk of dying due to complications of obesity. Also, he would have to have a great personality thumbsup.gif

What an absolutely shallow question.

Yes, I would date a fat person, thank you. How do you know I'm not fat? And I know a lot of fat people that are attractive inside and out! Who said that fat people are ugly?

Hugs from fat people > Hugs from anyone else

And one of my friends. He's huge. That hasn't stopped him from getting girlfriends one after another. In fact, he's proud of being fat. He's athletic and just like any other kid but cursed with a slow metabolism. He's like a brother to me, so no I wouldn't date him, but he's awesome.

Yes, as long as it isn't like...unhealthy. I wouldn't want to go out with someone that doesn't take care of themselves. My current bf is a bit on the heavy side[not too bad though], but I know that it isn't all his fault...looking at his family, genetics are in play there, plus he does sports a lot, so...yeah. It's not like he's sitting on his ass all day not caring or whatever.

I think you all are lying. Well, the majority of cb are girls, so nevermind then.

I'm shallow so HAHA no. If he was overweight, then okay as long as he has an attractive face and is really tall. Not like obese.

We come to love not by finding the perfect person, but by seeing an imperfect person perfectly.
How true is that?

^Meh. Perfection/beauty is in the eye of the beholder. All those things that are there to say what the perfect qualities are are bogus.

Not really.

Actually, when you think about it, different cultures view attraction differently.

I'm just being general here but let me give you examples:

-Most asian cultures think big eyes on women are attractive. That is why most countries like Korea have invented things that make the eyes seem bigger than they really are.

-In America, BIG boobs are good boobs. Generally speaking.

-A few African tribes like piercings and view that as attractive. Obviously, most of us here in America think that shit is gross.

That's true, but those are not the only qualities. Societies shape it's individuals, wherein they make their own decisions as to what is and isn't beautiful.

So what I'm saying is, according to MY culture, fat people are ugly and their genes should not go into OUR gene pool.

Because, in essence, fat people tend to have icky diseases later on.

*ahem* Hypertension, anyone?

*nods* I hadn't thought of that one. Nicely done Mini.

But again, as you disclaimered there (lol), they are simply generalisations. You could have a six-foot woman with huge eyes, massive boobings, piercings all over her face and she could be considored both attractive and unattractive by different cultures - OR individuals within those cultures.

You mentioned Americans not liking piercings. I'm English. About three years ago had an absolute fascination with pierced dudes. I grew out of that one pretty fast; but sometimes certain people are just...enhanced by piercings.

Can we assume in more Westernised Countries that being 'fat' and considored ugly is really down to individual perception?

Or is it the fault of more rigid 'regimes' (this could be the fashion industry, countries where women must be kept covered almost head-to-toe, or could even apply to something more local like a grotty housing estate)that tell us what is beautiful or who would make a good wife/husband that is to blame for perception of beauty?

Cue the debate on Size Zero...

Oh, well, the piercings that those African tribal natives have are like really extreme.

Let me find a picture:

This is like OMG gross

Please don't click on this link if you have a weak stomach.

Anyway, I just think it depends on the basis of how OVERWEIGHT the person actually is. I don't mind if you're heavier than your ideal weight based on your height. I do mind, however, if I see a double chin with rolls of fat on your thighs.

And fat guys tend to have smaller penises.

Oh Holy Vishnu.

That is morbidly fascinating. /clicks

Smaller twigs and giggle berries? I've heard that before but often wonder why that is...considoring everything else is stretched and increased.

But aren't body builders meant to have diddy equipments also?

Oh, good topic to start - euphemisms for penis.

HAHA, I love you. You're such an awesome person. (just wanted you to know that)

Anyway, I don't even know the answer to that. Maybe it's just a perception thing because since everything else is so big, the penis seems smaller.

OR just maybe in actuality, the penis IS smaller because everything else took all the skin and stuff away. And that not enough blood gets to the penis to make it bigger because alot of blood is required to nourish the rest of the body.

Just my theory. _smile.gif

I guess it's because they take so many steroids that it messes up their hormonal balance thing.

I hate small penises. stubborn.gif
