except the rockets if they get a more reliable allstar. rockets with a fixed t mac + yao would have beat the lakers

I think that's the problem. The rockets depend TOO MUCH on those two. The Spurs would give the Lakers a run if they got another scorer.

No mang, they stopped depending on those two which is how they took the Lakers to 7 games, with CHUCK HAYES AS THEIR STARTING CENTER. Defensive presence, no offensive ability.

helllooo, don't count out the nuggets! =)
yeah yeah, houston pushed them all the way to a game 7, but i thought the way the nuggets played against the lakers was more consistent (except for the last game obviously). if the nuggets keep improving their defense and LEARN HOW TO MAKE AN INBOUND PASS, i think we'll be able to beat them. and of course i'm really biased lol, but whatever. |

I actually agree with Teesa. That Nuggets series could have gone either way had the Nuggets done the little things right.

That Nuggets series could have gone either way had the Nuggets done the little things right. yeah i agree and i also think the same thing could be said of the finals. had lee made that inbounds shot and f*ckING NELSON defended fisher on that three, it coulda been two wins for orlando and the series woulda been completely different. woulda still be going on for that matter. sigh, if only |

^that is true.
I think what people fail to realize, that a lot of teams in the west only need to get healthy or minor things to compete with the Lakers like the Rockets, Spurs, and Nuggets. The East is a completely different story. I personally see the Nets being good this year. |

but that's what separates championship teams and just very good playoff teams. doing the little things to win ball games.

I personally see the Nets being good this year. my biggest wish and yeah, i think teams in the west can compete with the lakers. cause i still don't think the lakers are the shit or the best team ever. like we said, both series coulda been completely different easily. it's not like the lakers were amazing and blew every team out of the water and no one could compete. and holy shit, i doubt anyone knows what i'm talking about but the other day i was listening to espn radio and they had luke walton on. bill walton calls in and spends literally 10 minutes praising him and telling him how loves him and blah f*cking blah he's the best son ever. stfu, luke walton is shit anyway. i can't stand him or his dad. |

LOL. cmon the lakers were the best in the west even last year.
and they were the best this year in the west. they were favored all year long, and they came through. the only team i see challenging the lakers next year is portland. portland scares the shit out of me. and no way is the nets gonna be good lOL. they'll be 9th-10th seed i'm predicting . |

luke walton is reallly bad. whenever he gets the ball, i always yell for the other players to give him space. no team needs to waste its time defending him.
that was mean. okay, maybe he will get better one day. the only team i see challenging the lakers next year is portland. portland scares the shit out of me. you're only afraid of them because the lakers have issues winning AT portland. it's likely the lakers will finish ahead of portland, so noo worries haha. |

Houston was the most disadvantaged team playing the Lakers. Maybe the Lakers played like shit, but without two of their best players, they should have 4-0'd that shit. Then Aaron Brooks and Ron Artest decided to shine, Shane Battier defended Kobe like a mother f*cker, and Chuck Hayes played some of the best center defense I've seen. Von Wafer is a little baby, but can jump high as shit, and Carl Landry .... damn the Rockets have so much potential, just got raped by stupid things. Wish Alston could have got his ring :[ p.s. I f*cking hate Luke Walton and Vujacic, but people probably hate Scola the way I hate Vujacic (I love Scola lol). |

The Spurs messed the whole Scola shit up man.
The Nets will compete next year. Realize it or not, they have three all star caliber players on their team. The fact that a healthy Lakers didn't sweep the Rockets tells me all that I need to know about them. |
