released november 24th, 2008

you may remember verizon wireless using a clip of "human" in their commercial. i'm loving spaceman and a dustland fairytale, but i have not finished listening to whole cd yet. i just checked wiki, i didn't even know they had an album in 2007 "sawdust." probably because i was a little disappointed in sam's town, it took a while for me to like the songs on the that album.

i don't think this one disappoints. discuss!

I am currently obsessed with this album, but haven't listened to it in its entirety...I LOVE SPACEMAN. I could listen to that all day. The chorus is just so catchy. A Dustland Fairytale is nice too, like the lyrics for it (in my sig too!). I've had Losing Touch stuck in my head for days now.

Day & Age > Sam's Town, not sure about Hot Fuss though.

"sawdust" wasn't an album, it was just a collection of songs on a CD. I've got all thier albums except the newest one, and I dig how their content keeps getting better as they keep making music.

I'm still a little bit unsure about this album. There are a couple of songs that make me go OMMMG LOOOOOOOVE!!!!!, but Sam's Town is a much better album imo. Though I think Day & Age is a bazillion times better than Hot Fuss.

For me it goes Hot Fuss > Day and Age > Sam's Town. Hot Fuss was one good song after another. Day and Age has so really great highs (SPACEMAN f*ck I love that song, probably more than any other song than Hot Fuss), but overall not quite as good as HF. Sam's Town has some great ones too, and actually looking back on the tracklist, I really like all the songs, but it's not as memorable for some reason. I think it's because out of all three, Sam's Town deviated the most from what I felt was the Killers style. HF had an interesting almost electronic retro sound that was unique. D&A has a nice mix of it all, making for a pleasing album.

Yeah, I get what you mean by Sam's Town being less their style; Sam's Town is a little bit more... rockish to me? I can't seem to find the word I'm looking for.

My love for Sam's Town is probably due to the fact that that was when I actually started listening to The Killers. And I really love the fact that there's a constant theme throughout the album.

Though I guess I'm not really being fair because haven't listened/paid enough attention to Hot Fuss or Day & Age to notice a recurring theme.

Okay after listening to Day & Age pretty much all day yesterday and today, I have to say I'm not sure whether I like this album or Sam's Town better now. XD.gif

Damn, so so good.

The song maker says, "It ain't so bad"
The dream maker's gonna make you mad
The spaceman says, "Everybody look down
Its all in your mind"
