Houston, among Dallas, San Antonio (sort of), and Austin, is completely different than the rest of Texas. No cowboys, no accents, most diverse city in the nation, and huge land-wise. Fourth largest city and whatnot.

True story. Houston is like the Chicago of Texas.

I'm still trying to see if I really need to take advantage of the transportation system in the cities. I know New York would definitely be awesome for that, but I heard LA/Houston isn't that great to use the transit system?

In Houston, you really do need a car. It's such a huge city.

First off, I'm high so you'll have to excuse my spelling, grammar, and general coherence of my sentences. (Or lack of judgment.)

Second, I'd like to apologize for making an ass of myself on these forums over the past few years. I am an asshat. I apologize sincerely.

Next, I'd like to explain to you my predicament. I'm currently attending a community college here. I've applied to transfer to a certain college which I am very fond of. If I get in, I'll be 20 minutes from Chicago. However, there is always a chance of me being denied from that college. If I don't get in, I plan on moving to a bigger city and study there at the community college nearby and go transfer to a school close to my city.

Now let me explain to you why I need to go to a bigger city. I think living in this small town here has retarded my learning abilities and dulled down my sense of realistic judgment and thinking skills. I feel like I haven't been able to "experience" my life as a young adult. The form of entertainment here is going to the theater every friday. There is nothing here.

So I feel I should move to a bigger city and learn how to be independent. At this point, I know I can't take care of myself. I know I'm spoiled and retarded. I want to learn how to handle responsibilities and to basically "be a man." If I can't take care of myself, how am I going to take care of my future wife/son/daughters?

So anyways, I've been blessed with parents who have been very kind (and patient) to allow me to keep the car that they've been putting payments on! They are even willing to pay for a couple months of rent until I get situated.

So my question to you all is this:

1)Will you forgive me?
2)Can you recommend me some big cities that have many many forms of entertainment and attraction? (i.e museums, art galleries, parks, zoos, aquariums, etc. etc.)
3)For those of you living in those cities, how is it like? Are there many "date places"? (I want to try being a romantic guy.)
4)Average cost of payments that you have on your bill. (Just a general amount, I don't need a specific date.)
5)Are they slack on carding for alcohol? I might need a lot of it.
6)Did any of this even make sense?

best cities i cn think of are NY n Miami

City life is really animated big cities like NY for example they azre always jumpin witht things to do all hours of the day. hence the nickname the city that never sleeps. it has evreything from music to parttys to celebrations to parades and a huge mix of cultures so yea theres always something to do and alot of interacting goin on.

apartments jus depend on where u live in the city

I think all schools are strict on carding for alchol have a friend get it for you but don't drink too much.

Hey guys, bit of an update on my plans.

Ends up my parents want to make an investment into a condo. Basically that means I'll be taking care of the condo until they decide to move here too. (4-6 years) That also means I'll be living for free, basically. So much for "trying to be independent". But I am definitely very grateful to my parents that they're doing this. (I refuse to let them pay for anything other than the rent...I don't want to have too much money, because I know I'll end up spending it on pointless shit.)

That being said, since my parents want to live in the condo, (which I'll be moving out of once they arrive here) I'll be narrowing my choices to the west coast. I don't think my parents would be able to handle NYC or any of the east coast cities.

My serious and likely choices now are LA, Houston, and Chicago. My mom really wants a condo in California, so obviously that puts some bias there, though.

Anyone of you LA'ers know anything about Culver City? I hear it's nice, and I think it'd be perfect for my parents.
