Oh falafel, how I love thee: let me count the ways.

Oh falafel, I love you when you're served up with a simple salad of iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, and slathered with tahini dressing.

I also love you when you're all crazy with cucumbers and pickled veggies.

I love you the most when you come with roasted cauliflower.

And sometimes, I love you just by yourself.

I swear, it's the perfect fried food, more perfect than the fried potato. And the chickpeas make me think I'm eating healthy even though I'm not. Thank you, Middle East, for creating such a fabulous food.

And all this waxing poetic on falfels is making me hungry. Shit, I should make some soon. Maybe tomorrow!

Who else shares my love of falafel?

^ Falafel ≠ lamb meat. Lamb meat = shawarma. Falafel = fried chickpea patties.

Haha, thank you for correcting me. Just goes to show you how new I am to falafel (or shawarma).

I was gonna invite you to go get some with me, and I would've paid. I see how it is.

Yeah, your tweets keep making me hungry. I love falafel. Thankfully there's a few places that sell it here, but no one ever wants to go out for it with me. Personally, good food > the cost of eating out...especially since it's not like I want to go to expensive places. But when I go home I can get falafel at Whole Foods (when it's actually in stock...) but it's really hard to find it anywhere else. Buuuuuut I have a whole thing of falafel I froze right now, and it's not especially good, but at least it's falafel. I ran out of sauce, though, and it's preventing me from eating it right now.
