I just saw a trailer for the movie: 'Hero' I don't know if it's out in theaters yet or if they are just going to put it on DVD. But I have already seen it though; It's a movie that's in Chinese. My boyfriend has it on DVD... it's really good. Jet Li is in it, and I think the girl from Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon?
 I was just wondering...(1) How many of you have seen the Chinese version of 'Hero'? (2) How many of you are going to see it when it comes out? //EDIT// Did some research and found that it will be coming out on August 20?? |

never scene it in chinese, and planning on seeing it when it comes out in theaters..... looks pretty good actually haha

I want to see it when it comes out cause' there's no chinese rental place around here. I heard it was an "artsy" film so unless you're into visual arts than you're not going to like it very much. But It looks good to me.

haha yea.. it is an artsy far... *ahem. film.. yes..
:cry:SOOO many people said it was BORING!! (which... it really might be) But it's worth the rent! and the DVD! Because you get to see the amazing CHINA scenary |

WOAH august?! i watched it last year in the theaterz. BUT i never knew it was in chinese so i went in and had to read the japanese subtitlez and i suck at reading kanji... so i kept on asking my friend and i think i pissed him off

Yup I saw it. Zhang yi mo is a pretty darn good director. The movie has a really good atmosphere and it's worth a watch.

i saw the chinese version last year? i think and i'd have to say that i'm a bit disappointed. it was slow& had so many flashbacks here and there that i became really confused by the actual storyline. the ending and certain special effects werent too bad, but the entire thing? kinda a flop

i duno.... it reminds me WAY to much of kill bill and its by the same director so i think hes running out of ideas |

Yeah I've seen the Chinese version of it. I like the fighting scenes. Woohoo. Lol. My friend has it on DVD. I also found out that Shaolin Soccer will be coming out next year. Anyone know that movie? Lol.

Well, you can still see the movie, I mean, who concentrates fully on subtitles?  They do make them for a reason, and trust me, you can see them both at the same time.
