The Ex-bf issue and being just friends Options

Well here's the deal. My ex boyfriend of about 1 1/2 years and I... no longer talk.. at all. However, he's like friends with my friends, you know, like we hang out with the same group of people. So anyways... I'm having a get together for Christmas at my house. Originally, it was just going to be a bunch of girls, but I decided to like invite some guys too. And the guys are like his best friends, and I didn't/haven't invited him. Like. I think it'd be so awkward, and I want a night without seeing him, you know. Cause he cheated on me. And it was a great relationship but EXTREMELY bad break-up. So yeah... I know he probably still cares for me and everything, but the whole being best friends again thing didn't work out for us, because it hurts so bad to be "just friends" with someone you still love. I don't know. Like I don't want to be mean and not invite him, but I don't want to act like I want him to be there if I invited him. Plus he probably won't want to go anyways, and then I'll just look stupid. I don't know what to do. It'll suck just having him come to my house and seeing my parents and stuff like that. I don't know.. =[ Should I invite him out of courtesy or not?
