Program & Medal Design Commission
Indy Cup 2009
Taekwondo Tournament

Job Description: Design the medals for awards in gold, silver and bronze. Design a 2 page (front/back) program for the Taekwondo tournament that contains...
  1. A colorful, eye-catching front cover
  2. Day 1 & Day 2 Activities break-down
  3. Comprehensive list of competitive regulations and rules (will take up a whole page)
  4. Directions to the venue
  5. List of attractions in the area (malls, restaurants, hotels, etc)
I'm really most concerned about fitting the ABUNDANCE of information in a clean way. The problem is that EVERYTHING needs to be in there.

I'd really like criticism and critique on this. I need other designers' eyes on this because I have no one around me with an artistic eye.

You know, I'm totally against double posting. But I really need some opinions so that I know how to improve it. I don't want to give this guy some "only okay" looking product because he doesn't have much of a design-eye.

So please... thoughts? I put hours into this.

The medal and the program look really good.
I like how the program is really professional. It's really neat, I like it a lot.
The medals are awesome too! I love the fronts of them. For the back, I like it, but I'm not too crazy about the font of it.

Overall, it's really neat and professional. I like it lots (:

Ha ha KTA...

I'm not too crazy about the medals, specifically the kicking silhouette. The shape just looks a little off somehow...

lol but I guess the silhouette is part of the official logo huh

Besides that silhouette in the poster, everything else looks pretty dang solid.

Thanks everyone!

And yeah Archie - it's the logo... the silhouette came straight from the .eps file... so I can't re-do that. That's like... taboo.

I have some old medals from my Taekwondo tournaments from a year or two back that I looked off of for the back of the medals. It's supposed to be the budget saver - you know, only text instead of a cool image. I'm not really happy with the font either, but it was the one used on all of the past Indy Cup Medals. I'll talk with my master to see if we can change that.

I don't think the back of the medals are really a problem, but the front leaves me wanting moar
