 Have you guys heard the buzz up in the northern states of a pair of parents who were foreigners naming thier child "Adolf Hitler Campbell"check it out http://www.nj.com/news/index.ssf/2008/12/c...olf_hitler.html I'd kill my parents if they ever were that dumb.  What does CB think about this? would you allow this? |

It just makes me sickened that the parents were suprised that people had awful reactions to the childs name since they thought, "well no one else in the world will have this name, how unique!" Its just really stupid in my opinion.

Honestly, if they wanted to make a statement, one would have thought raising them to be an enlightened individual might have occured, rather than naming them after Hitler. People are stupid. |

It sounds to me like they neglect to understand what a blessing a child is and wanting their kid to have the best life whatsoever. Naming your son a name after one of the most evil and most hated people in history isnt showing much.

Well, he's probably going to hate his parents when he gets older. I'd never name my kid Adolf... my kids will probably speak German so that would not be good combination. My neighbors would hate me.

It's a name...I feel bad for the kid but I don't think they should've refused to write it on the cake. Aren't they paid to bake and decorate cakes? They should've just done their job.

i don't really get why you guys think they should have to do the cake. it's their own business. if their policy in general is that they don't do "inappropriate cakes" then i think they have every right to refuse business to someone...
i wouldn't do it if it was me. i'd rather lose twenty bucks on a cake than risk my business getting a bad wrap. |
