WTF!?!?

I was on the Sephora website, ready to buy more eyeliner and water-based gloss from Bourjois and I see that everything's marked down by like... 75%! That, and everything is shit out of stock.

Are they going out of business? What's going on?

I just Google News'd it and nothing showed up for either Sephora or Boujois going out of business. They might just have to move stock before the end of the year to make room for new products, or just the general, the-economy-is-shitty-better-give-steep-discounts mindset of business nowadays.

EDIT: So I never browse/buy makeup online because I like to try it out in store but HOLY SHIT SEPHORA HAS AWESOME LIMITED "BEAUTY BONUSES"!

Hmm, last time I remember looking at Bourjois stuff, it was around that price. I just don't remember reading all the "original price" bits, so maybe they just added that in? I always thought Bourjois was pretty cheap for that reason, but I guess I was wrong.

Noooo, I'm addicted to the Bourjois water-based lip gloss and it was always originally $15-16.

It's because of the current financial crisis. A lot of stores are kicking up their discounts and deals in anticipation of a retail slump. I'm not complaining. I love the prices.

^ Yeah I think we're all aware of the financial crisis and what effect it has on prices of products, but what we're scratching our heads over at is that on the Sephora website, only Bourjois items are marked down explicitly. Any price reductions that AREN'T marked as sale (which is what should be happening because of the financial crisis) shouldn't be explicitly shown like for the Bourjois products. Plus, it makes no sense that one brand's prices are marked down and others are not, when the financial crisis affects everyone and every brand.

From the website it just looks like the site is trying to clear out some stock to make room for new things, not cutting prices down in hopes of gaining new customers. I've also been noticing these low prices months prior to the economic crisis.

POOBALLS!

At least they sell Bourjois in Hong Kong (for me). Anywhere else you can get it? I really want to try their liquid eye shadows!
