Just wondered if these little changes (font colour on bars and colour and font of "CONTACT ME") add to the layout or make it worse:

In my opinion, it looks a lot better before the changes. :) The pink of the font doesn't match with the rest, and the font for the contact me doesn't match either. It looks much better simplistic, like in the first one.

I was referring the red for the text of the layout, like when you write stuff, and the color is red. lol, but nice imo. |

If that was submitted I really wouldn't accept it. There isn't a lot of editing done to the pictures, merely just blending them and smoothing the edges a bit. The font is too default, wrong color, and doesn't quite match with the theme of what I think you're attempting to go for. Also, the navigation just irks me. It seems in the wrong place. Also the font for the navigation is just...default.
So, my recommendations is to play with the pictures more. Have fun with some coloring, some brushes, and some textures. Experiment. See what looks good and what doesn't. Once you have a pretty decent edited picture, then go and plot out your layout. Sorry for being harsh, but...constructive criticism can go a long way.

Ok so adding brushes is where i usually mess up.
Can never decide which or how or anything I had a go but its really not..well...good so any suggestions on brushes that would go well would be much appreciated, credit will be given if i submit to cb and it gets accepted. edited because i used the wrong tags...again |

well, you can check the resource center for brushes, here .
just try to find some that will fit in with the pictures. |

Try textures first.
Brushes tend to get overused too soon, so save the brushes for last. The fonts are still too default. |

I had a play with textures; Here's what came of it...
They're not good because it's the first time i've worked with textures but i'm hoping you guys might have some suggestiongs to improve it. Ok heres what i got... |
