When I was in Japan, as a lot of you lurkers know, I was with a beautiful Japanese girl who treated me like a king. No bullshit. I treated her like a queen and it was one of those perfect relationships that made people sick. Oh, was life good. The sex was outstanding, as well.

As time went on and we became more comfortable with one another, we began to get complacent with the relationship. Sure, I loved her, and she loved me. But all the partying we did together and hitting the scene every night, put a strain on the relationship.

After a while, the studious, Japanese college student that I fell for started acting like a typical American party girl. The were fingers pointed in both directions that I cheated on her and that she cheated on me, but no proof. Her friends were talking, my friends were talking, and it made matters worse because many of my friends dated her friends.

Shitty.

When she found out that I was possibly going to Iraq, she threw a fit, we argued, and before I knew it, we were going our separate ways. Honestly, I haven't been in a better relationship, and what's even more disheartening, it's even harder to find a friend like her. /sentimental

Fast forward >>>>

So I'm in Iraq. I don't have much support from my family (other than my sister and Robbi), I'm single, making a grip of money to stay alive, and I have the world by the balls. In the last month, or so, she's been emailing me little by little. First and foremost, shorty wanted to clear the air on all the bullshit that damn near destroyed our friendship. We were back on even ground. We got back into the groove of laughing about life, talking about politics, sneakers, street racing, anime, etc.

She wants me back.

I have choices for my next duty station; DC, NY or an extension in Okinawa. I'm no reenlisting in the Marine Corps (even though I'm pretty good at this gig), and in those three places, I can easily see myself settling down.

The question is; if you were in my shoes, what would you do?
