...what the fuck are you trying to say? Of course it matters that Obama won. And, I think that 90% of the users here were not old enough to vote for Bush either time. There is so much with Obama that brings hope. Sure, he's taxing the rich to give to the poor, do you really think that's a bad thing? He's trying to stop the gap between the rich and the poor from growing wider. He wants to bring universal health care to the US and is that a bad thing? And him being black is also important socially. It gives me hope that the US as a whole is finally just a little less racist than they were in the 1960s.
McCain would have screwed the US over as most of the international community were not in support of him. The international community supports Obama more which will help so much in this economic crisis. So if you don't know what the fuck you're talking about, don't say anything. |

No but, most candidates don't turn out to be as good as you think, but on the flip side most don't turn out to be as bad as you think. I can only hope :D |

So if you don't know what the fuck you're talking about, don't say anything. didn't you read what i said? "YOU GUYS HAVE TO SEE THE POSITIVE THINGS"? and i mean't that people made a big deal that they wanted to move because obama became president. it doesn't really matter that obama became president for them to move or to complain... maybe i should have made that clearer. sorry, but you don't need to curse out like that.. it's just a topic. i didn't diss obama or say anything bad like "oh he sucks, lets move. etc" i don't think you understood what i wrote.. QUOTE like for real, is it really because obama is black or he's making taxes higher? some people just wanted effing change.. and they're taking a stand now. i was talking to the people who didn't vote for obama and they're bitching that now he's president, you don't have to bitch about it. like what's the real reason why your bitching about that he's president? he's making a change and we need it. i am on the same page as you with taxes part.. i didn't say, that it's bad.. so instead of saying QUOTE So if you don't know what the fuck you're talking about, don't say anything. maybe you should read a little bit more, and try to figure out what i'm trying to say.

didn't you read what i said? Oooook, but you didn't say that you were talking to certian people in your post. You addressed everyone. Maybe you should make it more clear as to who you're talking to. Most people here didn't and couldn't vote last election, so if you're trying to address someone who voted for Bush, you're on the wrong forum. I think it's funny that you're telling people not to curse in their reply about it, but you said: QUOTE stop your bitching, suck it up

To all the people saying that they'll move out of the states becasue Obama was elected? Lol, you stayed for all the Bush bullshit, and now Obama was elected and you're like oh no? What? I agree. It's ridiculous. But yeah, I hope the stupid people who actually move won't move here. |

Wow my Macroeconomics professor talked about the US economy for the whole hour-long class today. He was saying how he feels really bad that in spite of how amazing Obama being elected is, Obama's going to mostly have to deal with the major national deficit, and will have less time/money to actually create change. And that Obama will be watched even more closely and that he'll be criticized even more if he makes even the tiniest wrong move.

yeah, it's me. i just find it annoying. everyone on facebook says they're moving to canada/australia/out of the us and it's just getting old. i don't know why it bothers me so much, it's just getting damn annoying with everyone bitching. I knew it was you! (well, part of me did anyway), from your magnificent avatar, it just shouted spencer to me. Anyway, I understand what you are saying, and where you are coming from, so I greatly apologize for any annoyance I have caused. In all honesty, though I didnt vote, nor would have voted for obama if I did go vote, I'd like to see what comes out of this. Its kind of exciting. All those angry folk are just going to need to chill, sit back, and just watch what happens. |

So I'm actually really pissed off about nearly everything to come out of this election. I'm glad Obama won, but everything else was shit.
Chambliss*, Linder, Broun, Georgia's amendment 2, California's prop 8, Florida's amendment 2, Arkansas initiative 1**... But I applaud Massachusetts and Michigan on their initiatives concerning marijuana and stem cell research. *there might be a runoff of this race, but I'm not going to delude myself into thinking he won't still win, as Martin was still 2 or 3% behind **no one really cares about Arkansas (pretty much the only state that got redder this election), but there is simply no excuse for this passing. and with 57%! |
