Are you good at showing affection? Do you hug/kiss/etc people? Do you tell them that you love them?
It's hard for me to say "I love you" and be serious about it, but I feel that telling people that I love them is unnecessary. I don't know why it's difficult for me to say it (I haven't told my parents that I loved them since I was in 5th grade), but I feel that my actions, expressions, how I talk, etc is pretty tell-tale. |

it really depends who.
I don't really do that to my siblings or mom because we're just not like that. However.. i used to when i was little. I hug some of my friends.. but not all the time. |

I have a hard time kissing and hugging my parents.. its weird. I dont know why but I can tell them I love them. But if a situation gets too lovie-dovie I run out of the room. It makes me uncomfortable.

im the same. i haven't said i love you to my parents since 5th grade either. i don't even give em a kiss on the cheek or a hug. idk i juz don't like doing it.
well about the whole i love you thing. a couple of weeks into me and my bf talking, he already told me that he loved me. when he said it i didn't know wat to do. all i said in my head was "already? did he really mean it?" he told me he did. and i couldn't say anything. he asked me if it tripped me out. and i said yeah. cuz we juz started talking. but i do love him a lot. |

I tell my sister I love her most, mainly because it annoys her and she's never said it to me.
But I'm the kind that shows affection through action. Not like hugging or stuff like that, like listening to them. |

I'm pretty good at showing affection. I love touching and hugging and holding.. and just being with all the time, but I'm kinda only that way with my boyfriend. and my best friends. Although I do find it hard to say "I love you" seriously unless I 100% truely mean it. I always say it with a funnay voice and its usually like "Love yahh" or "wuvvv yewww!"
I don't show any affection to my family. I don't hug them or tell them things, I barely talk to them, I kinda feel awkward to even carry out a conversation with any of them. |

not very, even my hugs are awkward. though i do say i love you, i try not to abuse it. i say it when i mean it but when it comes to expressing that to a significant other, that's when i struggle.

I'm really affectionate with friends...not so much with family. It's awkward to be affectionate with my family since they're not the affectionate type.

I'm EXTREMELY affectionate with friends and family.
I tell my mom I love her everytime I talk to her on the phone, and every night before I go to bed. I tell my really good friends I love them, and I love giving hugs. :] |

No way. I would never say "I love you" to anybody, and I haven't hugged or kissed anyone since I was little.

I saw this bumper sticker on facebook a while ago and it said
"I don't say ' I love you' just to fill up a conversation, I say it because you're the best thing that has ever happened to me." I know its cheesy but It really got me to think of when to actually spill the love around. Most of the time it's the Boyfriend but my BFF and my mom get it sometimes too. I don't remember when was the last time I said it to my dad, I think its just awkward. Other friends, it's just like Luv you or something. But I give hugs if I feel like it, or when I haven't seen them in a while. |

I do that kind of stuff with my boyfriend, but I don't feel comfortable with girl friends, or pals, buds, whatever.

i don't say i love you to anyone i'm seeing until i know for certain that i mean it, but even then it's hard to "know" for sure. sigh, the words "i love you" are taken so lightly nowadays.

I show affection in many different ways. With my girlfriend I do the usual hugging, kissing, telling her "I love you." And my brother it's usually pushing, poking, fighting over who gets the xbox next. My momma I still hug to this day. You're never too old.
In short answer yes I am very affectionate, it just depends on who. |

well, I don't speak to my family all that much, and lost several key members very early when i was young, (my mom passed when i was 9) so that kinda 'colored' the way I deal with people.
For the few friends I have that are serious long time friends, I make a point of telling them how i feel about them often, even when a couple of them say i am being 'mushy'... You never know when someone you care for can disappear. If telling you, " I love you" makes you uncomfortable, then try to imagine how uncomfortable you might feel without me in your life at all. That's basically what it comes down to. |

Yeah I guess I'm pretty good at showing affection. But then again it depends with who because I don't really say "I love you" to my brother. That's just how our relationship is. I'm really big on hugging so I do that a lot when I see someone or say bye to them. Sometimes I even do it randomly. I kiss my parents goodnight & tell them that I love them every night before I go to bed. I also tell my best friend that I love her every time one of us signs off AIM or something. I dk, we're just like that. I don't really think it's necessary but it's nice to hear, you know?
