No one is forced to come here. Even if your family moved it you really wanted to you could stay behind. It doesn't matter where you lived before you lived in America. You live here now and it's your duty to serve in times of need.

im guessing ur not a foreigner r u?

u dont understand how it is to be put in that position.... do u?

cuz im guessing (if im wrong than im sorry) but im guessing that ur family has lived here for a good number of generations and thats y ur considered all American.... im sorry but most ppl in America arent all American and they care as much for their home country as they do for this one.... their moms and dads grew up there.... their grandparents grew up there.... who knows..... maybe they grew up there.... that would be a HUGE disrespect to their native land

I'm a foreigner, and I feel almost the same as DisneyPrincess.

I swore loyalty to the US of A and I'm keeping that promise. I'll tell you now that I'll be heartbroken if I have to fight my kinsmen, but if my "home" country was in the wrong, I'm going to support the US.

But if it were a bad cause.. merely a political one or something..

If my friends and loved ones were threatened, I'd fight to defend them.. but heck, I refuse to fight for the sake of some politician

It would have to depend on the circumstances

The draft is bad strategy. If the country starts a draft, the best thing you can do for the war effort is to kill the President. That way, the Department of Defense--AKA the actual generals--will be able to plan the war, and they will realize that the draft is idiotic today and win.

It's sort of like WWII: Eventually alot of the people, like Klaus von Stauffenberg, realized that they would be doing better service for Germany by trying to kill Hitler than of actually serving their tours of duty on the Russian front. Hitler was screwing up the war.
