i use photoshop7.. lol i like the old one. but can you still make these effects? i'm think of getting adobe elements would that help too?

how do you get an effect like this? (ONE)

i like how this one is dark, but the contrast is bright. any idea? (TWO)

how do you get the checkered thing? like it's visible yet transparent? (THREE)

the brightness? (FOUR)

fadish tint? i don't know if you get what i mean.. (FIVE)

the black in corners, like it's not like fading but like burned outt?? (SIX)

the white like cloud sorta like? is that paintbrush?? (SEVEN)

i like the contrast and the colors, is this taken by a camera? or was this edited? if it was how, do you get like the glowing look? (EIGHT)

yeah, i never knew how to do this photo effects and i really want to learn how (:! if you can help please and thank you!

1. This & this tutorial might help.
2. Maybe they did 2 ctrl+j's. One where they darkened parts of the image & on the other layer, they brightened the picture. Not really sure "/
3. This tutorial will help.
4. That was probably the camera's flash.
5. Maybe this one.
6. My tutorial can help you on that one.
7. That white cloud is an orb. Tutorial here.
8. That was probably the camera's flash.

I hope I could help you. _smile.gif

Number four you might be able to get with just duplicating the pic then setting the layer to screen. It would probably be something close to it at least.

For #1, you can pretty much get that exact same coloring, depending on the picture of course, by using my Mad Word Tutorial (here) just stop after Step 11.

For #5, do the coloring in my tutorial, then on top go
Layer >> New Adjustment Layer >> Hue/Saturation
and then lower the Saturation until you still have some visible color but it is slightly "washed out".

well if you need anymore help, come back to this and ask away.
most of those are pretty quick, so you can try one in between homeworks or after.

Haha, thanks. I LOVE coloring tutorials and writing them. They're so much more fun. Plus, I like the effect better than loading them up with textures.
