Background Only Showing On Edges of Profile. Options

I was attempting to get my layout to work in IE last night, when the background stopped showing up (in all browsers, even after i re-inputed the original coding)

Today I tried everything, and eventually got the background to show on the outer edges of my profile, it was white in about the center 2/3's.

I went as far as to delete everything but the code for the background in 'about me' and it still did that. I also tried to just have a bkg color, and it still was white in the center, not even the grey that myspace uses as default. I have no clue what to do now. Help?

Thanks, It's a fixed now.

Except for on IE. I put the bkg as the bkg image of a div and it's where I want it in FF/google chrome, but completely off (on the far right side of the profile) in IE.

How can I get it to be in the same spot in all browsers?
