...what's the advantages of having an account? or do you use it just because? i've been deciding if i should make an account, but i really don't have any amazing graphics or anything.

There's nothing to lose if you make one. So just do it. No one's going to punish you for having a crappy collection. Have you SEEN the shit on dA?

I have an account to showcase my (limited) stuff. I use it mostly for favourite'ing all the amazing art I see on there, and to catch up on my favourite artists or my friends' work.

If you don't plan on submitting anything, it's good to have just in case there's something you want to use on there and the designer requires you to ask permission. Also, you can favorite stuff that you know you'll need to use in the future so you don't lose it.

if i were you i would just make an account. Especially before the name gets taken. I already tried the waiting thing and all the names i wanted are currently being used.

^ lol, that's why unique names are the best. So far, if you search "heartquasm" on the internet, everything that shows up is me :D.

But don't do that cuz it's creepy.

But yeah, Deviantart is good when you want to use a stock, so you can use your account to credit/inform the original creator. It's also good if you're an artist. Good critique always blows up my ego :D

for anybody who has a website and has it linked, did your traffic increase at all when you made an account?

^I think I got like....five new visitors. If you submit a lot and are active, you'd probably get much more than that. I barely use mine.
